It’s sad the community has so little opinion of Bungie’s ability to create content they know the quest will be something that people complain about. Even if it is to honor someone.

Honoring someone a year after they died calls into question their motive. If he was so close to Bungie personnel, why did they not do this last year or the season immediately following his death? Why wait until now? The sad part is that Bungie can even screw up a memorial quest. I have zero doubt about it. People will complain the about a bad quest not about the memorial portion, and you know it.
