I've never been one to conspire about loot drops or 'the algorithm' but this seems a little fishy. I've been chasing a god roll truthteller (breach loaded gl available in the world pool) and the rate at which it drops is questionable.
I've turned in thousands of vanguard tokens, gunsmith materials, and legendary shards, and received every single available weapon and armor piece besides truthteller. Multiple times.
I'll bet I've obtained every world pool drop 50 times, and truthteller has dropped MAYBE 5 times. Could it be bad luck? Maybe, but the fact that I've received every other weapon available in the pool dozens of times raises a red flag.
Does anyone else experience this?

Everybody should get past the false believe that RNG is the problem, it is not. Bungie tune the algorithm to give players what they think players should receive or deserve. All the RNG does is create a result in a sample space what happens next is entirely down to the structure of the reward algorithm. Bungie could stop all repeats instantly by having a simple rule that RNG results are disregarded if the result is already in you inventory and it continues to run until it creates a new result that you do not have. On a positive note I am convinced that the algorithm looks at your past play and occasionally tries to help by dropping something you should look at carefully as it's just what you need!
