If the animation for Shadestep is 0.5 seconds well Barricade is 1.5 seconds and Rift is 2 seconds there is a clear disadvantage especially with utility and recharge rate being slower on other classes. Its not a factor of what the ability does though, but tweaking the animation of said abilities to be on par if not equal to each other. Plus Hunter despite not helping teammates provides the most out of any class ability with the best recharge speed that is also tied into almost every Hunter Class or exotic and gives it more recharge or abilities. Rifts give you 1-2 ability without exotics. Titans get 2-3 depending on which wall without exotics. Hunters depending on the class get about 4-5 different buffs without exotics. Nothing needs to be nerfed, but animations should be on par. Every game does it, even WoW (since bungie wants the game to be like it so badly.)
