If settle for all of them having the same cool downs.
It’s always been busted how the hunter dodge is the best class ability in the game and has the fastest cool down. This just tells me that every dev at Bungie is either a hunter main or has absolutely no concept of balance. Probably both TBH.

The shorter cooldown is because it only benefits yourself and not your teammates. Frankly, the cooldown is the least concerning about dodge and is only broken when exotics like Stompees are in play; it just needs to lose the ability to break tracking imo.

It isn’t rocket science kid. And obviously this is my hobby....

Hate to burst your bubble but titan wall on max cool down is 14 sec. Almost just like the meme dodge KID. And you know, it has a life time of 15 sec. And it's actually useful.. unlike our meme dodge that doesn't even save me from a snipe. warlock rifts are very potent in engagements so they have to be slower. 40 secends minus the 12 life time of the rift is 28. That is not bad since warlocks also have dodging now. So no, our meme dodge is not out of balance.

If we are just shoveling opinions around, I think warlocks sky dodging is mich better than the hunter dodge. You know, because one every 3 sec (you have 2 every 6 sec.) And arc web is overpowered, handheld sup. should be nerfed to 170 Now for titans, all shoulder charge abilities should get a lunge distance decrease. If those changes are implemented, get whatever timer you want on your rifts and walls.

Here we go with the [i]what-about-ism[/i]...lol. I knew you'd go there. Regardless, none of those abilities give you a reset button during an engagement, quite like the Dodge. Even the Warlock Air Move doesn't give you instant health back, no matter what Exotic you equip. Hunters basically need to be killed twice. You just can't argue that it's balanced, imho. And yes, of course it's an opinion. We're not doing science here and I'm not planning on writing a thesis about Destiny 2 class abilities.

It's not what-about-ism if we are discussing balance between classes, which have many abilities... Balancing is supposed to bring many things in the right ratio to each other, that is why you can't balance a thing on it's own, because you need to compare it to another thing.

That's not what op was talking about though op is saying the animation to drop the rift or barricade takes way too long and I agree. If you screw up and use a hunter dodge no biggy you'll get it back in a moment. You screw a rift placement or barricade you're a sitting duck till the animation is over.

Oohhh you can literally spam dodge every 7-9 seconds if you max mobility(which is a useful stat unlike resilience...lol ) and if you can’t dodge a sniper shot then you’re a bot. Both barricades and rifts make you a sitting duck against good players. But it sounds like you’re used to that. And it’s a meme for reason!! Big brain theory there....

7-9 how exactly? It's 10... The 0 also counts as a second in destiny, so when it says 9, it counts down from 9 to 0. I tried distribution and the other one for class ability, the Don't really help the dodge, maybe 0.5 sec. Now to the sitting duck concept: I don't see how warlocks floating literally in the skybox are sitting docs. Maybe, just maybe, each ability has a certain way to use. Choking sightlines with walls and holding zones and lanes with a good healing rift is how they are to be used. Brain cells are hard 😢

No it makes sense. Out of the game just stand there let a friend throw like a baseball or a football at you then try and dodge it by recreating the hunter dodge. It’s just real world physics plus how fast you can react. Anybody in real life can jump to the side and tumble on the ground why would you make it so un-life like?
