Doom Eternal had more story in it than the entire last year of D2. A Doom game. With more story. 🤦♂️

More story presented in game with voice acting and cutscene like events. I wish more was in the game, but the seasonal model, especially this season of running the same mission to get a new sentence from Eris is just outlandish. The voicelines are what, maybe a page long, double spaced?

Yeah. Now Doom Eternal did have a lot of reading, but id Software are still establishing this "new" canon. I feel like I *learned* more about the Doom universe from Eternal than I did about what's going on in Destiny from the Interference missions.

Because doom makes it interesting. You know what you’re fighting but the lore of it is awesome. Where in destiny 2 you have no idea what we’re fighting. Every other race in this game is filler, we are see pyramids and still have no idea what we’re up against.

I know Bungie wants to build suspense with the whole pyramid ships, but it's been over a year since Shadowkeep, and that's just too long to build suspense.
