Because its presence in the game is an adapation to the unnaturally agile handling of snipers in this game, their high aim-assist, and the tendency of snipers to hardscope lanes and try to lock down the map.

The only thing stupid about it are all these crybabies. Seriously, what's the point? Been in the series for ages. Everyone has access to it. The feed tells you if someond emotes. Boo hoo. Fine, a fix all to every issue: Remake everything comp. Trials, crucible, whatever. Single forced loadout of whites, no mods, no augments. You get a basic AR and sidearm with limited ammo, no heavy. Remove abilities. Map killzones shrink to discourage camping. No emotes, no ability to even open the menu. Maybe some flat maps with minimal cover and remove sprint/jump. There. Fixed. 2 weapons to balance and nothing but skill to separate the players. No more crying, boring as hell, and super lazily designed. [spoiler]Git gud or don't play.[/spoiler]

(Nerf aim assist across the board and randomize flinch for snipers, give shotguns a pellet spread penalty when mid-air, and slightly increase their ready time out of dodges/slides) That would solve most issues with the weapons imo, neither one takes skill, both have issues 3peeking also needs removed, honestly just remove emotes from pvp, not sure how swords can be reworked without impacting pve

I just don’t get posts that complain about someone using a certain type of ability or weapon in PVP. IMO, the prime objective of PVP is to beat your opponents and that means using any legitimately available ability or weapon at your disposal. If you aren’t using every advantage available to you then more often than not you will get a disappointing outcome. Just saying.

I have legit never met anyone in my life who thinks that 3 peeking is okay in PVP. Even hardcore players like zk, frost, cammy, even players who literally just picked up the game, shit even random players I’ve talked to from raids/PvP all agree that 3 peeking shouldnt be in the game for PvP. Yet somehow this post is pulling the most delusional players I’ve ever seen out of the void. Man it really is true that this games community is brain dead.

Just put emotes on 100 sec cooldown and make Swords 1st Person until you swing.

And get rid of all game audio while we are at it. You might think what i said was dumb, and you would be correct. Its the same as removing 3 peaking. So what if people can emote/sword around walls to see? Its honestly not that big of a deal, and if it something that actually makes you loose games often, then you just need to get good

I don't think 3 peeking is an issue because it doesn't require skill. I think it's an issue because it has zero risk and a lot of benefits, so in an inherently high risk activity such as Trials, it: 1. Removes 100% of the risk attributed from gaining information; 2. Slows the game down to sometimes 20 minute games; 3. Encourages camping for super, which makes gunplay mean so much less; 4. Pretty much can't be countered if done [i]well[/i] (That's the key. Plenty of people don't use its benefits well.); and 5. Promotes a lot of third person play with zero shooting for an FPS, which makes Trials boring. Best part is people know it is a scummy strategy. How many times have you guys beaten a sweaty team a round or two in Trials so they immediately start peeking? Even if nobody on your team is sniping? It's like they know it is scummy and don't do it until they have to. I will say though that sniper flinch needs to be addressed at the same time peeking is. If someone can't go into third person at all, great. But they should be confident that if they get the first shot on a sniper with their primary they won't get their head taken off.

Take out special weapons and other one shots and then Ill be fine with that. The game is not fun when you try to peek a corner and you see 6 lights across the map ready to blow your head off, its not fun when you are trying to use a primary but get melted by grenade launchers, its not fun being rushed by shotguns or fusions, this game is full of BS one shots and a flinch mechanic that breaks the complete balance of an fps. A silly 3rd person peek should be the least of your worries
