Why is some of the coolest content in the game no longer obtainable?
I love spending time browsing the weapon ornaments tab in collections. I feel that many of the designs constitute the best art produced in Destiny.
Why are the majority of them unobtainable?
Make them super rare drops like catalysts or something. Just dangling them there without giving me access to them is kind of mean.
At least the exotic armour ornaments aren't shown, so I don't know what I'm missing. Perhaps you could remove the no longer obtainable weapon ornaments from the collection screen, as they will never be added to my collection.

They add the unobtainable ornaments from time to time in the dust section of Eververse, but then there is also the fact other gear thats getting sunset is kinda an excuse for them to recycle and reuse content rather than making new content (Beloved being brought back as an example) Its all just a massive carrot on a stick plan to drip feed players for as long as possible. "Oh if you keep playing eventually your stuff will come back updated with the new power level." Honestly all I care about? No more Revoker or Mountaintop in Trials, Gambit, and Iron Banner.
