I am totally in support of that possible solution. I would honestly prefer it even, because I do genuinely want to finish the title properly and especially without being forced to use a glitch to cheat the system. When they announced Chronicler is being vaulted, I honestly thought that would be the case, but after closer inspection, it turned out it's not. Somehow, I suspect the possible problem with that solution is that perhaps the Dreaming City curse will be removed for lore-related reasons. But obviously we can't know anything for sure until Bungie makes an official statement.
