I 100% agree with you. I played D2 at launch, took a long break, and came back to the game this late spring/early summer. One of my favorite parts about the game since coming back has been the lore. So I really wanted the Chronicler title to reflect that. It was going to be my favorite title that I would wear all the time. I really enjoyed the countless hours I spent on the scavenger hunt for all the other lore books for the seal, but discovered too late that the Truth to Power book had a 33-week timegate. I learned about the the double-lore exploit even later. I was unable to do it this week due to the maintenance. As it stands, I am at 6/11 entries, meaning I will be at 10/11 when Beyond Light launches, unless something is changed, and that's assuming there won't be any more maintenance during the other two high curse resets. Many other people are in this exact same situation. It seems like Bungie is being really kind lately in regard to helping people complete things before they go away. They just this Tuesday gave out the Braytech Osprey as part of the Exodus quest. They added duplication protection to the Sleeper nodes to help people get Warminded. For those who think it would be wrong for Bungie to alleviate Truth to Power's timegate, I want to ask you the following: Do you think it’s unfair that Bungie added duplicate protection for the sleeper nodes for the Warminded emblem? Does that “devalue” the achievement for people who got it despite the poor RNG? Or made Shattered Throne playable every week instead just during high-curse week? Did that “cheat-out” the people who got the rewards despite only being able to do it 1/3 of the time? Or how about giving out the Braytech Osprey as part of the Exodus quest? Was that “unfair” to those who repeatedly ran Strange Terrain to get Wayfarer? Making Truth to Power obtainable weekly would be no different than any of these things. Bungie, if you see this, will you please consider making Truth to Power entries obtainable every week, rather than just every third? This wouldn't make the title easier to get, or cheat out those who already worked hard to get it. It would still require the same number of hours in-game to get. The same number of visits to the Queen's Court. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
