They're important, dedicated PvP players that deserve to have matches against solo players to ensure that their PvP experience remains enjoyable. For the solo players, they should look on the experience as a positive. I'm sure that getting stomped will have immeasurably helped them to improve their game. They've likely made a contribution to yet another "watch us stomp these solo noobs" montage as well, which is pretty much all Bungie want solo PvP players to be doing anyway.
