They're pathetic sociopaths but honestly, I don't know what could be done about this.
Even with strict team vs team matchmaking, they would still probably stomp most teams as well.
If there are people whose lives are so empty that their hobby is pub-stomping in "elite-college-team" vs "random-junior-high-kids-in-a-park" style matchups it really can't be stopped if they have no shame, unfortunately.
Just part of toxic FPS gamer culture. This type of shit doesn't exist much in the "real" world.

so let's say 6 people are stacking they are complete bots in pvp. is that a problem or is it only when good players 6 stack honest question. i don't see either as a problem because it's a multiplayer game i mean who in cod complains about 6 man stacks? i just don't get how this is a problem

Edited by Lull9: 9/3/2020 10:19:10 PMThere are two basic scenarios here: 1) A 6-stack of "real-life" friends who happen to be good (or VERY good) at PvP, want to play matches together, and are "good sports" about it by not running absolute meta loadouts, spawn trapping, etc. 2) A 6-stack of people who make a strong, deliberate effort to organize the most lopsided matches they can contrive by accepting people into a fireteam based on their KD/other PvP stats "resume" (maybe this is accomplished by clan join-requirements) to abuse matchmaking and farm a "number" (KD, win-loss, whatever) while making other people absolutely miserable. They run absolute meta, and abuse anything/everything to make the match as unbalanced as possible, always trying to spawn-trap, etc. The first is "fine." It's unfortunate that the game isn't popular enough or matchmaking robust enough to "fairly" match these teams with other teams. It is what it is and I'm not suggesting these people are doing anything "wrong," should feel overly "bad" about it, or should be prevented from playing together. The second type is the pathetic one. They're still not doing anything "wrong" per se but they are poor sports and griefers. You can find people at completely random times posting on LFG for: "Let's go stomp some casuals in 6v6... must have 2.5+ KD." -blam!-ing gross. It ruins the game for many other people just so they can abuse matchmaking to play unchallenging matches to stat-pad. Not for any good reason, but just because they're sociopaths... they "get off" on this. People who don't have personality disorders don't behave like that. I solo-queue, am not an elite player and even I feel gross stomping on low-skill players who can't compete.

i don't think either of these is wrong there is nothing wrong with pub stomping in destiny or any pvp game why should the people that want to do that not be able to do so. here's a question if someone is running a meme loadout where it sucks the player does really bad because of his loadout and costs his team the game should that be looked down on as reverse pub stomping? you cost everyone the game how toxic right? so i think everyone should be able to play as they want i can still hate how someone plays like i hate bastion because it kills supers in two bursts but i don't think those players should be punished. also the want to never be pub stomped is a bad thing you can't become a better player without fighting people that are better then you anyway i've said enough for one message have a good day (:
