Destiny pulls your name from the platform's API, so any censoring of your name is done from Steam's side. If you haven't done so in a while, you might want to update your Steam client.

Steam has my name uncensored, and it is up to date.

There was an issue not too long ago where many players were experiencing this sudden censorship, and it was caused by the version of the Steam client they were using. Once Steam pushed out another update, it was resolved. The censoring is not on Bungie's end and they cannot assist with it.
