The devs aren't the problem, or at least not the main problem. It's the people managing them.

Very true. Devs is just a term used by people who don’t have a more in depth understanding of how software is made. A better role to bash on might be architects or product managers or executives. Devs just code what they’re told to. In my personal opinion, this far into this trainwreck, the blame rests solely with senior leadership.

The gun control feel is the tightest I've ever felt in any shooter, the movement feels good, it has a great original score, it has deep lore, and there are some other things that can be added to that list. In the end none of it matters because the people managing the game don't know how to put all those great pieces together to make a consistently great product in-game. EDIT: I shouldn't say none if it matters. I've had some great memories with the franchise. I should say the game never reaches its true potential.
