I'd say it's less toxic, recent political stuffs aside.
Bungie banned Political and Religious discussions, but they haven't been the greatest about enforcing that.
For awhile, Roleplay and Stories dominated the forum, they died down a bit but seem to be on the rise once more. I may or may not be involved...
I don't remember how long you've been gone, but bungie also made reaching a certain point in Destiny 2 required to post on the forums, so a lot of older users left. Also, Gaming was merged with us too.
I think that's about everything...? Idk, time is funny. I live in a gray box I only leave for food and work and frequently wonder if I'm actually Bruce Willis in the 6th Sense.

I’m equally not surprised they have trouble keeping that rule enforced. Political and religious related tomfoolery have a long, long history on here, though that can be said for many of these niche older forums that are found in corners of the Internet. I ended up moving away from here to Discord with my main group of friends from an 8-person group chat back in August of 2018, but had stopped regularly posting a year or two prior in the main forums before that. I did hear about the Destiny 2 requirement, but if someone told me about Gaming being merged into here, I honestly forgot about it. It’s a little surreal to come back here and see the remnants of what was once quite a large community shoved into this single tiny forum. Ah, it’s fine though. It has its own quirks and memories to make. And son? I’m sorry to hear about you being Bruce Willis. How about you go get me some money from your mother’s purse and I’ll take you to a therapist I know that lives near a highway overpass. Good guy. Just try not to look him in the eyes or stand over him.
