The raid puzzles are a joke. And someone at bungie failed to learn how to gradualy introduce concepts to players.
Apparently this is something inherent in japanese game design that isnt practiced here as much, but when you design a game its meant to inform, even subtly, concepts to the player. Thats why many dungeons into FFXIV you start seeing more focus on positioning than the first ones, they want to get the players used to concepts so they can test things out as they move into harder dungeons and raids. It may not tell them what to do, but theyre given better tools on how to address the situation. (See EgoRaptor's presentation on Megaman X)
The gameplay isnt " below" destiny, its different, and factualy involves more knowledge on how to best manage your plethora of stats, gear, materia, abilitiy cooldowns, dots, classes, jobs, etc. Destiny is Halo with some extra flare on top but all the fun cooked out of it.
I would agree on graphics if it wasnt clearly tooled to handle more interactions on screen than Destiny 2. When was the last time you had a raid of 20 people popping abilities on a boss and its mobs in d2 ? More NPC's, more quests, more puns, etc. also, undetailed? They may cook a lot of their assets but undetailedis not what anyone in game development would consider FFXIV characters or their Gear.
