You probably did the right thing. The game had chores which were enjoyable. But now the game is a chore. I pretty much exclusively dip into PvP and should an exotic quest come about i'll jump in. The forced playstyle and loadouts you really hit the nail on the head there. The beauty is that now the game is free to play I don't have the incentive any more to buy the expansions. I normally just wait till there's a sale or ask for it as a gift. I don't feel I'm missing out as much compared to D1.
