Ikora should handle clan duties.....Hawthorne should be moved back to the farm and her role be reserved for something at a later date. Also Amanda should sell random transmat themes that rotate so she has a purpose other than twitch prime

Well, clearily you don't like her! Hahahahah that's okay =) we all have [i]that[/i] character we can't stand [i](mine is Eva Levante. She's so creepy to me...)[/i] So, story wise, Hawthorne did her part long time ago. Her role from this point of view is indeed over and I see no possible scenario for a come back if not for some timed event in the future, maybe? So, some minor lines here and there during the Event and that's it? Meh. Maybe... From a gameplay point of view, however, she has a role: she manages Clans and Clan Bounties. Indeed is a smal role, still... better then nothing like Ikora which stands in one point, staring the Traveler and saying something now and then. She's not the only one tho. What about the 3 Faction Leaders?

I agree that she plays absolutely no role in the story anymore, and I think that’s by design due to players simply not liking her in the vanilla story. Even in that story, her role was pointless and could’ve been filled by any other character. Her hawk leading us to the Farm was more impactful. In the game, she plays a small role as an NPC that could be given to any other character in the game, including Ikora. There could even be a clan banner on a wall that could serve as the clan NPC. And I’m not saying the faction leaders are any better in D2, because obviously Bungie abandoned them altogether. But at least those characters had some interesting lore and quests in D1. The only notable lore about Hawthorne is the fact that she’s a LGBTQ character that Bungie can add to their woke diversity checklist.

Well, personally speaking, from this point of view I think that all the Characters in the D2 Vanilla Campaign were really weak in general, both new and old. Think about it: Devrim is the classic stereotyped British character always talking about tè and serves no purpose in the story in general. He just sits there, on the bell tower, with his No Land Beyond exchanging jokes with Suraya while we do all the [i]pew-pew-KABOOM![/i] work. And he is another LGBTQ character. Zavala and Ikora became emo and, again, their role is really minimal while Cayde is the usual jokester with a crazy plan on his hands. They lead the attack to the City, but here you have Hawthorne and Civilians too. Sloane and Asher are sterotyped Titan and Warlock. Again, they do nothing special... Zavala could have managed Titan and Ikora Io. Ghaul as villan is pretty weak. The Speaker, after years of nothingness, dies. Yeah, I mean, the entire D2 vanilla Campaign is quite meh. In this story, the role of Hawthorne is to show that Guardians and civilians can work together. I suppose her role as Clans manager wants, somehow, rappresents this. Like she is a sort of symbol of "unity". I don't think the remove her is a solution, neither a good idea. Personal tastes apart for the character, there is no real reason to remove her from the Tower =/
