I just requested a refund for Beyond Light. I'm done.
SoH broke me. Forced PVP? No ornaments from last years SoH armor? I am so tired of not being able to play this game the way I want with the gear and weapons I want, and this was the straw that broke me. I just want to be able to equip the gear I like, the weapon I want, and play without being instantly nerfed as a result. Doing dailies is painful, as I have to use weapons and sub classes I dont like. Farming upgrade mats is painful as I now know you will nerf my gear at a whim later on and waste my time invested in master working them. Same with weapons. Whats the point of playing a game when I have to play YOUR way and not mine? Why should I keep paying you to tell me to stop having fun and use the gear and weapons you want?
I logged in yesterday, managed to grind out the blue gear requirements, and.... I just cant anymore. Its not fun. It feels like a second job. A responsibility or an obligation. Not something fun to do with friends or clanmates. Nobody I talked to is happy with this game, they just endure it, like an achy back or sliver in their finger, hoping it gets better. I am done hoping man. I'm just done.
I dont expect a warm welcome here, I just hope that some dev reads this, sees the real world consequence of poor game design and passes it along to somebody in charge. I feel like the abused wife of a relationship. Bungie keeps doing things that make me not like their game while saying how much they 'listen' the whole time. How much they 'hear' me and want me to be happy and know they care. Its clear you dont and never will. It should not be this hard to play a looter shooter. I quit WOW when it stopped being fun. I quit Overwatch when it stopped being fun. Now I quit Destiny when it stopped being fun.
This guardians eyes are down, permanently.

Sorry to break it to ya but not everygame let’s you play only the parts you like and ...... wait a second they do you can play only the parts you like and use what you want exclusively. Just don’t expect to be rewarded as much as those who do play all parts of the game. It’s very simple. For example if I hate raids i don’t complain about not having 1k voices or tarrabah because I can’t get EVERYTHING by only playing the modes I like. That is a poor mentality and one that will never be met. Also you can use whatever gear you want if you only want to use bows and sidearms you can, BUT don’t expect to be able to do every quest and all content.

I sympathise. Good luck in your gaming, many other games out there are far more appreciative of your time and money. Quite a few even listen to feedback. Plus you will have the added bonus of no longer having to tolerate the toxic trolls on these forums

You're not alone. Seemingly by design they've cut whole swathes of their fanbase out of the loop. I grinded for all three sets last year and then paid for all three glows. We were all fraudulently ripped off, make no mistake. That they didn't correct it is another major red flag this isn't a decent company doing the right things for their customers. We said we wouldn't forget it and we didn't.

I finished the blue requirements late last night, and played for a few hours afterwards. I'm already about halfway finished. The longest part is going to be the gambit matches, strikes, and public events. The pvp requirements are laughable, honestly.

It is what it is. Glad I main PvP because most of the solstice requirements are pretty enjoyable when you haven't been doing them day in and day out for a year or more. Now if only they could figure out a way to get more people to play PvP by, oh I don't know, making it less counterintuitive and including more stuff that encourages people to embrace the concept of incrementally increasing their level of skill relative to other players over time. Yall could have been playing PvP this entire time but you didn't and now you're burnt out. Oof. 10 matches of Gambit. This should be a hoot...

Oddly enough, I got refunded by Sony because bungie changed the release date, BUT... My PSN account still says I have the dlc, my destiny account still says I have the dlc and I can't buy it again because PSN says "already purchased" , so as far as I'm concerned I got it fo free.

No one can blame you. I get it. I’m going for the SoH armor but only because this is the only event I like in d2, and that armor looks epic....skipping the glows tho. Didn’t buy SK and don’t think I’m buying the next dlc. Bungie need to change so much before I invest more money into this game.

All if my buds Beyond Light preorders were cancelled automatically by PSN when the release date changed. I don't think any of them are reordering it.
