SoH broke me. Forced PVP? No ornaments from last years SoH armor? I am so tired of not being able to play this game the way I want with the gear and weapons I want, and this was the straw that broke me. I just want to be able to equip the gear I like, the weapon I want, and play without being instantly nerfed as a result. Doing dailies is painful, as I have to use weapons and sub classes I dont like. Farming upgrade mats is painful as I now know you will nerf my gear at a whim later on and waste my time invested in master working them. Same with weapons. Whats the point of playing a game when I have to play YOUR way and not mine? Why should I keep paying you to tell me to stop having fun and use the gear and weapons you want?
I logged in yesterday, managed to grind out the blue gear requirements, and.... I just cant anymore. Its not fun. It feels like a second job. A responsibility or an obligation. Not something fun to do with friends or clanmates. Nobody I talked to is happy with this game, they just endure it, like an achy back or sliver in their finger, hoping it gets better. I am done hoping man. I'm just done.
I dont expect a warm welcome here, I just hope that some dev reads this, sees the real world consequence of poor game design and passes it along to somebody in charge. I feel like the abused wife of a relationship. Bungie keeps doing things that make me not like their game while saying how much they 'listen' the whole time. How much they 'hear' me and want me to be happy and know they care. Its clear you dont and never will. It should not be this hard to play a looter shooter. I quit WOW when it stopped being fun. I quit Overwatch when it stopped being fun. Now I quit Destiny when it stopped being fun.
This guardians eyes are down, permanently.

Just leave then!!! Sick of these stupid Good bye posts

I completely understand the sentiment. I abruptly quit D1 after TTK when everything I previously purchased went behind the paywall of the newer content. I loved my hours of D1 and have some of my fondest gaming memories in PvP. I couldn’t handle that slimeball financial move of Bungie/Activision. I only came into D2 this past June after they announced there would not be a D3. I have approached my play time differently, though. I’ve become more targeted with my goals and I am watching the trends as to avoid any possible frustration (SoH and sunsetting, for example). I do watch how much I play (lately it’s too much) and always temper my expectations. I fully understand your feelings about the game becoming a second job (maybe that’s why I haven’T jumped into raids). It’s hard feeling deceived by something that had become such a resonant part of your life. I hope you find peace and are able to use this as an opportunity for growth.

I tried last solstice to get bungie to let those who already collected the armor once to just be able to upgrade or something with the armor like a pass of sorts. But noooooooooooo. All of bungie fan punks downvoted it and made sure that feedback wasn’t seen. I say punks because I can’t say what I want cause bungies moderators and ninjas will possibly ban me again because they are all hypocrites.

Destiny orbit music plays You : thanks god

I hear ya. And then you get the fanboys sticking up for bungee. I was one of them. LOVED D1. You said it- ENDURED D2. I’m trying to give them (another) chance. What finally broke it for me is in addition to game play it’s their business practices and politics. They won’t honor my Xbox Game Pass as Xbox Gold.

Honestly, man, it has taken you way too long to see Bungie for what they are, but better late then never. Welcome to the club. Life only gets better from here. The sooner this game dies the better off the gaming industry will be.

Great decision. You will be happy to leave this game.

First off if your Taco is salty then I recommend a shower and use a loofa and some smell good body wash. Lol Second, I have yet to pre-order the new dlc. I am not very optimistic that Bungie can or will improve themselves or this game. Will I probably buy the new dlc? Maybe Will I buy the whole next year worth of dlc like I did Shadowkeep? Definitely not I'm gonna take a more reserved approach this year, enjoy other games as they come out and maybe upgrade to ps5 if the opening lineup looks amazeballs. I've put in easily 25k to 30k hours between D1 and D2 since the game launched in 2014. Bungie has easily made the game more monotonous and unenjoyable every year. If this doesn't change then I don't know if I'll be around much longer either. Good luck to all. Be safe.

Loool bye. Imagine quitting a pvepvp game cause of pvp

They're not giving us what we want, they're giving us what we need.. Think about it. 🤔🤔😉

You'll rage for a day or two then you'll have that walk of shame back to the game. You think you can leave? There is no escape.

Edited by saint4hire: 8/12/2020 10:05:12 PMJust take a break - I didn't play for the entirety of the last season - And it was Great!! And even now, I just play what I want. I just jumped into this season b/c of gnawing hunger (I never did get it to drop before this season) - then I found out how cool Witherhoard was...I did the catalyst and now I've found the Guillotine and so I run the public events with it...again, b/c I like it. I'll level with you, I didn't play last SoH and I'm probably not going to play this one, b/c I don't like it and I just don't really care about it. But that's just me and that's my opinion. More power to anyone who enjoys it - I'm not a fan of "That Grind" so, I'll do other stuff I like and I'll play other games I like. No one's forcing you to do anything...It's the value that you feel for something...if you feel that the grind is worth the armor, you'll do it - if you don't, you won't...it's as simple as that.... But I'd recommend taking a break man if it's got you this down. And by the time Beyond Light rolls around, you might need that Destiny fix again...or you might decide it ain't worth it...whatever floats your boat...

oh you’re mad mad lol. see you soon.

I never bought it in the first place.

It's ok. I think a lot of people feel like you do. Taking a break from any game is a good idea. Maybe it's a permanent break, maybe it not, but there's no point playing the game if it is too frustrating right now. There are lots of good ones out there.

Cool, you can go, no one will miss you 👍

Edited by DatsiKiller03: 8/12/2020 8:53:50 PMIf it’s not fun to grind it out, then why would you still try to do it? If its not fun, then why do you care that much so make a rant post on it. The armor doesn’t offer any advantage over any other armor you can earn, so go earn the armor in a playlist you enjoy and skip the theatrics. Posts like this fill this board up daily, just for users to wonder why the mods never respond. Its bordering on a waste of time for them to even bother coming to this app anymore Edit: I just read your last paragraph. An abused wife? Dude get outta here with the daytime soap opera spiel

Wait to fight the good fight

Still don’t get the point of these posts
-
personally the only part of it that sucks was having to play 10 matches of gambit. But its no different than what we had last year and i honestly dont see how anyone would have expected anything else. Either way, it really isnt that hard to get this gear Sure, it might suck to have to play pvp, but thats still an element of the game that all players should have to play to get this gear. its similar to the moments of triumph seal. You cant just do one thing to get it (like the the raids/crucible/gambit seals). instead you have to do it all

Welcome to the world of freedom from a terrible game with low effort to the world of games much better than this terrible sequel.
-
but it’s kinda like a mmo, kinda
-
I think the problem is players are going too hard in the paint, you did the whole blue set in one day..... Just slow down, it’s a 4 week event.

How do you get a refund? Is it through Steam or Bungie?
