Titan main here. Titan tower barricade is fine. They're sturdy enough, provide enough cover for you to regroup or protect something, and titans have two exotics that affect their barricades, Citan's which weakens the overall durability but allows ally rounds to penetrate, and heart of innermost light, which buffs your next ability after using an ability, allowing baricades to become more durable. The real crux to Titan class ability, 13% shield increase from 100 resilience is useless in PVE, you're only going for the cooldown reduction if you're building up resilience, and the short wall was nerfed out of the game. I'm not saying the short barrier needs to reload weapons like it used to, but IDK anyone that cares about the reload speed buff provided by the short barrier. It's just not more beneficial than actual cover imo.
To sum up, Resilience isn't a worthwhile enough stat to focus, and the alternate to tower barrier is effectively useless by comparison.

Then you come across a team of 100 resilience titans using citans/revoker to cover every lane and snipe you from behind cover of their wall. That game was nuts man.
-
That’s PVP though, and I don’t believe anyone in this thread has said resilience needs anything done there
-
100 resilience should give more shield capacity both in PvP and PvE
-
Isn't that what it does?
-
Also crest of alpha lupi, it gives a healing pulse to all nearby allies when you summon a barricade.
-
oh my gosh, I never realized it provided health to allies too! Oof that's nicer than I remembered
-
Yeah it’s very underrated imo, used to be my go to exotic.
-
You forgot Khepris Horn No problem, it’s one of the most underpowered exotics in the game, all the more reason to buff it.
-
Oh yes! Kephri's horn is actually a really fun PVE item when used in conjuncture with bot tree solar. three abilities that all spawn sunspots is pretty awesome and since creating sunspots gives health, your barricade can also technically heal you too, like the other titan exotic we forgot, Crest of Alpha Lupi
-
Just because it “can” synergize doesn’t mean it’s good. Not trying to take away any fun you may have with it, but in strikes I’m taking anything else over it, especially Hallowfire heart.
-
I'm not hear to say its the best by any stretch, but if you run bottom tree solar as a titan, I tend to prefer Hallowfire heart or Kephris horn as they make the most sunspots. Hallowfire is basically the best solar class exotic imo as I feel the supers aren't that super anymore at least in terms of dealing damage in PVE
-
Even without Hallow, there are others that can do the job better. Reason is because you already get good ability recov while standing in a spot, so needing to make more with your 3rd ability is kinda redundant if the other two can be amped up to do the same. Heart of Inmost Ashen Wakes Armamentarium Phoenix Cradle Not trying to argue at all, please don’t think that. I just think that Khepris need a buff.
-
I wouldnt turn it down either
-
Heart of inmost light doesn’t actually buff barricades unfortunately.
-
heart of innermost light procs on grenade, melee ability, and class ability. Overflowing Light - Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points. Is this no longer true? And if so when did it happen?
-
I have tested it multiple times since it’s release, and for whatever reason, empowerment has never actually buffed the barricade.
-
Seems odd to me that an exotic with a perk that doesnt work has never been mentioned in the bug fixes but I can't say I've ever tested this so i guess I'll take your word for it. Regardless it is an exotic with a perk designed to enhance barricade so even if its bugged I'm going to include it in this list of gear that affects barricades for the sake of the main point in the conversation.
-
It does still benefit from the regen bonus, but yeah, I was really bummed out when I first got it because that is what I looked forward to the most with it. I suppose as well there is a chance that I am a complete and utter goon and some how have never properly set up the buff to actually proc on barricade but I find that far fetched. Any thee odd thing is I definitely remember a post on reddit when the exotic first came out that stated what all the different multipliers were and said that barricades got a 40% increase to health, yet despite my testing, nothing seemed to change with barriers and the other abilities matched what the post said as well.
-
Ya what a bummer!
-
For what it can do, it does great, but over all it is very messy in how it does what it does, and I mean more than just the barricade not buffing.
