[i]An attendant walks over to you, and you notice there are quite a few posters and signs around asking visitors to please disarm themselves before passing through the entry hall. [/i] “Hello, are you here for the investigation? Applicants should head to the admins office. It’s down the hall, first elevator on your left. On the fifth floor, take a left, and it’ll be the double doors at the end of the hall. Thank you!”

[i] Ambition pulls down his hood to glance at the attendant. He nods unevenly, says, “Right. Thanks,” and makes for the hall. Once he’s safely inside the elevator, he ducks his head down and habitually changes shape, shortening his hair, adopting a sweater and scarf, and darkening his eyes. His visage, though altered, remains close to the original; he still wants to be Ambition while on official business. Upon reaching the double doors, he stands for a moment and waits.[/i]

[i]While you wait, you hear the sounds of a busy administrator level. Keyboards typing, pens scribbling, a few meetings, and several staff carrying packets walking into their own offices. [/i]

“Come in! It should be unlocked”

[i] Ambition pushes the doors open slightly and slips inside. He clears his throat and glances around.[/i]

[i]Inside is a neat and clean waiting room, with a desk at the front. A secretary sits behind a computer here, busily typing away at her keyboard. Behind her and to the left is another door, presumably to the administrator’s office.[/i] "Hello, are you here to apply for the investigation?"

“I would be, yes. There’s an interview, I presume?”

“You would be correct! Miss Izuma is... well, it looks like you’re in luck! She just got off a call. I’ll tell her there’s an applicant, it should only be a moment.”

“Of course,” [i]he says, and retreats slightly, folding his arms behind his back.[/i]

[i]After a little less than a minute the secretary presses a button, and the admin's door unlocks.[/i] "Go right in, she's free."

[i]He nods at the secretary and strides inside, hands in the pockets of his sweater.[/i]

[i]Inside is a rather plain and sparsely furnished room. Izuma’s desk dominates the space, and it’s covered in a variety of papers and reports, with the rest obscured by monitors. Large floor to ceiling windows span the other side of the room, looking out at a cold, desolate desert. Izuma herself is at her desk, typing away. [/i] “Hello! Please take a seat, I’ve gotta sign this real quick and I’ll be right with you.” [i]She gestures, and a seat rises from the floor in front of her desk. [/i]

[i] He quietly steps around the seat and sits down. As he waits, his gaze pans across the would-be walls, looking beyond at the barren expanse.[/i]

“Sorry for the wait, had a small emergency but I put that fire out. You’re here for the investigation?”

“I would be, yes.”
