Does his Means to an End quest still say find/speak to Eris on Io?
If yes. he will have to do the Interference mission again from beginning. It happened to me once...

I thought that too but his quest was just gone. I had him stream it in discord so I could look through the quest log and it isn't there, as if he completed it.
