Jack walks slowly into the bar, at a casual pace. He has donned local clothes to reduce the risk of upsetting the natives.

The folk around you don’t seem to mind your presence. However, Cara approaches you with a quizzical expression on her face. “I don’ recognize yer face,” she says bluntly in an Irish accent. “Ye must not be from around here. Welcome ta the Silver Stag Inn, feel free ta have a seat. Can I get ye anythin’?”
-
"A cup of coffee please." He sits at an empty table.
-
Cara briefly disappears, and returns with a mug of steaming coffee. However, she seems distracted, and a sudden movement causes a bit of the liquid to jump over the cup’s brim, over its side and onto her hand. She quickly sets the mug down onto the table with a gasp of shock to dry off her burning hand. “Heavens,” she mumbles, “I’m sorry. Is there anythin’ else ye need?”
-
"Yes actually. I'd like to see a young woman named Skye."
-
Cara looks at Jack skeptically, and she crosses her arms. “Skye. Wha’ ye want with her?”
-
"I heard she is going after her brother, Errol. I wanted to offer to help her."
-
“Ta help?” She looks at Jack up and down. “Ye must be a friend o’ hers. I’m sorry, with wha’ tha’ fool fer a brother did ta her I can’t be too careful with who wants ta see her. When ye finish yer drink I’ll take ye to her.”
-
Jack finishes his coffee and stands up. "I don't believe that we have been introduced. I'm Jack."
-
Cara offers her hand. “And I’m Cara. Pleasure ta meet ye.”
-
Jack shakes it. " I hope Skye's feeling better by now. "
-
“Last I spoke ta her, she appeared ta need her crutch less. She’s this way.” Cara makes her way up the stairs to a balcony overlooking the first floor of the inn. She pauses at one of a few hallways on the right, and turns to Jack. “Fourth door ta the left. Give me a shout if ye ever need anythin’.”
-
"Thank you." He goes to the door and knocks. "Skye? It's Jack."
-
“What?” Her voice is heard from the other side, followed a loud snap, then two thunks against the door. Skye gives a startled yelp.
Sorry. I replied, but your notifications were probably so full you might not have seen that. 😉
-
"Are you okay?"
-
Oh, no, I’m sorry! I just had work and when I got home I was almost dead so I needed to rest a bit so my replies wouldn’t be out of character lol.
There is some scuttling on the other side before the door opens, and Skye pokes her head out. She looks at Jack curiously once she recognizes him. “Oh—Jack? What are you doing here? How did you find me?”
-
"I've got more eyes than the ones on my head. Not that... you know what I mean. I wanted to help with Errol. Sorry if that pokes a nerve."
-
She pauses. “I never told you about him. Do you have more ears, too?” She suddenly shakes her head in embarrassment. “I’m—I’m sorry, that was rude...”
-
Jack laughs. "It's fine. It's not as bad as the looks I get when I glare at people." He pauses. "Having trouble with what you're working on?"
-
Skye chuckles nervously and briefly disappears behind the door, leaving it open. “Is it that easy to tell?” She asks, partially out of sarcasm as Jack can hear her pull something out of the door. She comes back into view with two rectangular, sharp pieces of metal in hand, and tosses them onto a table.
Nice how you've worked the orb into all your descriptions of the room. I like that. 😀
-
"What are those?"
-
“Um... a couple parts of my bow. The limbs were tight, and I couldn’t fasten them in time. The tension caused it to recoil, and...” She bites her lip. “Please don’t tell Cara I launched pieces of metal into her door.”

Edited by Slayer of Worms: 8/9/2020 7:43:30 PM"I'll even fix the door for you." Jack touches the door and a metallic substance slithers out of his glove. As it goes over the door, it repairs the gaps caused by the pieces. "Do you need help with the bow?"
