Im probably not going to be able to get a spot. Why is everyone so fast?
English
-
I hope you and me get the last spots, but what will happen happens. 🙂
-
No one has gotten a spot, yet, so you still have some time!
-
Might as well.
Geo walks in, holding her hand palm up, staring at it.
-
Cara straightens herself, leaving the rag on the table so she can wipe her hands on her apron. A welcoming smile tugs at the corners of her mouth to replace the weary expression on her face. “Welcome ta the Silver Stag Inn,” she greets in an Irish accent. “Yer hand all right?”
-
I totally didn’t forget about this.
Geo raises one finger. A small blue glow appears above the hand, before fizzling our. Geo sighs. “It’s fine.”
-
I’m sorry I couldn’t get back with you sooner!
She gives Geo a curious look, but doesn’t comment on it further. “Well, I’m Cara, is there anythin’ I can do fer ye?”
-
“I could probably use a drink. You have iced water?”
-
“Well, ice is difficult ta keep in this warm weather, but our water keeps cool easily.”
-
“I’ll take that. What was all that scrubbing about? Are you trying your hand at wood carving?”
-
Cara heads over behind the counter and pulls out a cup, and begins to fill it with water. She glances up at Geo. “Wood carvin’? Oh, no, just had somethin’ on me mind.” She hands Geo the cup.
-
Geo takes the cup, and takes a sip. “What? Something with that girl, what’s her name... Skye?”
-
She gives Geo an odd and almost suspicious look. “Aye. How’d ye know?”
-
“Seems she’s been in trouble lately, especially with someone trying to rough her up a couple months ago. We never did catch that guy.”
-
The corner of her brow twitches. “Ye were there. I’m sorry, especially after wha’ happened ta tha’ lass, it can be difficult ta know who ta trust.”
-
“Is she okay?”
-
“Last I saw o’ her, she was fine. She’s nearly recovered in her injuries. Did ye want ta see her?”
-
“Sure. I haven’t seen her in a while.”
-
“I’ll take ye ta her. She’s in her room.” She tilts her head towards a set of ascending stairs, and makes her way towards them. They lead to a balcony that overlooks the first floor of the inn. She stops at one of a few hallways to the right and turns to Geo. “Fourth door ta the left. Just let me know if ye need anythin’.”
-
“Thanks.” Geo heads to the door, and gently knocks twice.
-
Skye’s voice is heard from the other side. “Come in.” She sounds a little distant, as though focusing on something.
-
Geo opens the door. “Everything alright?”
-
Skye is sitting at a cluttered table, working on her longbow. Upon hearing Geo’s familiar voice, she looks up, but before she could speak the bow recoiled with a snap, and a sharp, rectangular piece of metal is flung just past Geo’s shoulder, to implant itself in the wall behind her.
-
Geo steps back a bit towards to side. “That was my bad. How are you?”
-
Skye jumps up from her seat, clapping a hand over her mouth in horror. “Geo! I’m so sorry! Are you all right? Oh, um... I’m fine!” She quickly steps into the hallway towards the piece, keeping her attention on Geo for a response.
-
“I’m good. Anything happening with you?”
