A ranger and a bard walk into the establishment. The ranger's cloak and gear is dirt stained, but he makes a point to dust it off outside and straighten it for what it's worth. The bard, Taliesen leads the ranger over to the counter, where he smiles and waves to Cara. "Hello, friend Cara! Good to see you. Oh, Ring, this is my friend Cara. Cara, this is Ring."

 • At first, Cara has a weary shadow over her face. She doesn’t seem physically tired, but rather concerned. However, upon seeing her friend, a bright smile tugs at the corners of her mouth. She tosses the rag into a bucket and moves to greet the pair from the other side of the counter. “Taliesin, indeed wonderful ta see ye,” she says in her familiar Irish accent, then she nods to Ring. “Aye, I remember ye. Ye had a cup o’ hot coffee, if me memory serves. How are ye both? Can I get ye anythin’?”

 • Taliesin promptly took a seat at the counter while he took his cap off for indoors. "Doing well, thank you! I'd like some tea if you have any, please." He looked around the room with interest, silently studying the crowd in case he may play later. Ring took a seat as well and pulled back his cloak. "I'll have the same this time. Thank you. And how about you? You seem to carry a heavy heart, for a reason that I sadly might can guess."

 • There are only a couple groups of locals sitting at the tables, and a lonely traveller at the opposite end of the counter leaning over a drink. Nonetheless, they would be an appreciative audience. Cara nods at their requests and turns to take the kettle off the fire. As she pours hot water into two mugs, she gives a light sigh. “In truth, I am concerned fer a friend o’ mine.” She glances back at them. “An’ metinks ye both know who. She’s preparin’ ta chase after her brother, an’ I worry their next confrontation will not end as... well as their previous did.”

 • Ring nods his slowly, takes a drink of his tea and exhales. "It's good. You're right though, alone she doesn't stand much of a chance. Not because of her skills, from what I've seen she's a good fighter, but anyone would hesitate when fighting a loved one...and anyone should." Taliesin looks down at his cup quietly. "So you're saying she can't win? That's rather disheartening..." "No, but she may need help."

 • Cara nods as well. “More so if Errol is off makin’ improvements on wha’ever he calls his weapon. She could be leapin’ inta this blind.”

 • The ranger rubs his chin as he thinks hard. "Where is she right now? If she'll have me, I'd like to go along and help her in this. No one should have to deal with such a trial alone."

 • “Aye, no one should. I only hope tha’ she will be more open ta help.” Cara tilts her head towards the ascending stairs that lead up to the guest rooms. “I can take ye to her if ye want.”

 • "Yes please. Hopefully I can help." He stands and moves his drink back towards the counter.

 • Cara nods to Taliesin, signaling that she would return in a moment. She then makes her way up the stairs to the balcony overlooking the first floor of the inn. She stops at one of a few hallways to the right and turns to Ring. “Fourth door ta the left. Just let me know if ye need anythin’.”

 • "Thank you, Cara." He says as he nods his head in gratitude. He then makes his way to the afore mentioned room and knocks on it several times.

 • Cara smiles in response and returns to her place downstairs to accompany her elven friend. On the other side of the door, Skye’s voice can be heard, though it sounds a little distant, as though she is focusing on something.

 • "Hello again, Skye. It's Ring. I wanted to talk with you before you set out."

 • “Ring?” Some scuttling is heard before Skye opens the door. At the sight of Ring’s familiar face, she smiles. “Ring! It’s good to see you again! Um... it’s a bit of a mess in here, but you’re welcome to come inside.” She turns away and moves further into the room out of sight, allowing room for her visitor to enter. “What did you want to talk about?”

 • He smiles as well as he steps inside, not minding the mess. As he enters he looks around the room curiously. "Likewise! I came to see if you could use some help in your quest. The path you're on is a hard one to walk alone."

 •
I’m sorry my responses have been kind of late... seems almost like when you’re on I’ve just gotten off! Silly how time works like that, haha.
By this time, Skye can be seen picking up what appears to be sketches, notes and maps beside a strange, glowing red orb on the bed to the right while she kicks crumpled balls of paper beneath it. To the left is a table, which is cluttered with various metal parts and tools laid around her longbow. She glances back at Ring quietly, taking a short moment to respond. “A-are you sure? I don’t know what improvements Errol will have made to the Atoms, and last time you were hurt... not terribly, but still. What if...”

 •
No problem! Yeah, sometimes schedules and timing can seem jinxed haha
He glances curiously at the various sketches for a moment before his eyes rest on the longbow. "And that is precisely why I want to come. Because you were also hurt last time. I doubt any one could fight him alone very easily, but together we can stand."

 • They are mostly different sketches of different sections of her bow, serving as guides to help in the process of repairing it. However, some appear to be hand-drawn maps of a particular place. Perhaps it is where she expects to find Errol! The longbow is not complete, though it is near the same shape as it was before it was broken. Skye gives a faint sigh as she considers Ring’s words. It is rather easy to tell that she feels conflicted about allowing another to join her on this mission. However, she finally nods. “You’re right,” she admits softly. “Thank you, Ring, I... I don’t know what to say.”

 • He smiles, glad that he is able to help his friend in this difficult journey. "You're welcome, Skye. I can't let a new friend go on a dangerous mission without my help." His face turns more serious as he continues. "We're going to stop him, and save him if we can. Often the person that is most harshly effected by wrong doing is the wrongdoer themselves."

 • By this time, Skye has gathered up all of the papers, and laid them neatly beside the glowing orb. She takes a seat on a chest set at the foot of the bed and smiles, albeit sadly. “I hope that we can save him. I really hope so. I get so tired... I miss home, and the way things used to be, and sometimes I just want to give up. But... I’m glad to know that I won’t be alone when I face him.”

 • "You don't seem to be the kind of person who gives up, though we all want to at some point invariably." He looks for a seat of his own, moving his cloak out of the way before doing so. "Who else will be coming? Between a larger group, it will be easier to subdue him if a fight breaks out. Hopefully you can talk him down, however."

 • As he sits at the chair in front of the table, Skye reaches over the bed to grab a piece of paper with a list of names. “There are six others: Dain Dunnaxe, Titan, Dally, Blaze, Loot, and Chiara Deidra. I’m worried that too many will make Errol more callused to our attempts to talk to him, but I don’t think he will listen while he controls his Atoms. I think we have a good number of people... just enough to hopefully disarm him so that we can talk to him. Then maybe... maybe we can pull him out.”

 • "I recognize most of those names, good folk. I can see why taking more would be unwise. It's not a very good argument for peace if you bring an army. "Once we've gotten him disarmed, you'll have full reign to talk with him. Whether he listens or not, we'll make sure that he makes it out alive."
Sorry for the late response, today was quite busy.
• Skye reaches to drag a hand over the back of her neck, and she looks away toward a corner of the room. “But that’s... one of the things I fear most. I’m afraid that even after all of this, he won’t hear. I don’t know what I would do if that’s the case.”
No worries!
• He looks to the floor, knowing that what she feared could very easily be the future. "...Time can change everything. If he won't yield to mercy and reason in the end, then he can be held as a prisoner, and treated well. There's always another day for him to change his mind."

 • “That’s... true. But it took almost five years before I finally lost my brother, and if I don’t do this right, how much longer will it take to gain him back?” The question almost seemed to be aimed more at herself, as she soon shook her head dismissively and reached for a folded piece of paper on the bed.
