I don't think there IS an ironclad, indisputable "greatest hunter".
You hear some stories about some hunters doing cool things, but nothing on the same caliber that S14 and Osiris have done.

efrideet would like a word with you. Lord saladin thinks efrideet is unkillable and shaxx is in love with her. the vanguard and iron lords and almost all guardians in the system are scared by shin. if you fall into darkness completely. he will come to eliminate you.

Very true. Hunters seem to get a lot less glory in lore and do less good for humanity. They mostly just die a lot lol. Just look at how all 6 of the known Hunter Vanguards are dead, but all the Warlock and Titan Vanguards are still alive!
