RPGs are probably my second favourite genre of game.
FPS are one of my least favourite.
There's just more variety in RPGs as a genre, whether it's turn based vs action based, the kind of story it tells, whether it's dialogue-based decision-making or build-based decision-making. Plus I can always find an RPG that does something really interesting with its gameplay, or tells a really great story. Whereas a FPS is almost always generic in both its story and its gameplay, and never really does anything new or interesting.
Platformers are my favourite genre though.

I just realized, I neglected to show this to you. Learned about this game yesterday, and the demo was really good!

That actually looks really good!

Right? I’m super excited for it!

Platformers are dope, any favorites?
Platformers are dope, any favorites?
Man, I could spend hours answering that question, lol. But my favourite game of all time is Super Metroid, so by default I'd have to say it's my favourite platformer too. But pretty much throw any platformer at me and I'll enjoy it, whether it's Mario, Crash Bandicoot or an indie. If you want some underrated platformers though, I'd say to check out Gris, it's a masterpiece, a powerful story of grief set in a 2D watercolour world. It's only about 5 hours to complete. Also, since you like shooters, I highly recommend the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games, they're excellent third person-shooter/action platformer hybrids, and have one of the best video game stories I've ever seen.
