Two things. Hand cannons should always be the best by at least a little bit since they are the least forgiving to use and require the most skill to use. Two, 140s should kill with two heads and a body in order to balance them out with 150s. This worked in D1 where the Luna archetype of hand cannon killed with one head and two bodies and the slightly faster firing archetype killed with two heads and one body.

Any buff to them is a buff to lunas howl. Plus they deal the most upfront damage per shot, people should learn to use that to their advantage. If you land the first opening crit on a auto rifle user and your a good shot you will win. A dilemma exist between autos and handcannons. Mtashed highlighted it very well. https://youtu.be/0dcmKFjsmfY The bullet efficiency issue is why autos need a lower ttk then a handcannon. You can't pop in and out of cover like you can with a handcannon.

Require the most skill to use🤔. They literally have the best bullet magnetism at end range than any weapon class. You can aim to the left or right of a players head and still counts as a crit shot. Most 150’s can easily outgun any 600rpm auto easily.

except the range before it triggers is much different. Handcannons trigger MUCH earlier.

I do all the time!

What do you mean brother?

Handcannons are not that hard to use tbh mainly 150
-
I agree that 150s are not the hardest thing to use but there is a huge difference between something like an auto rifle or a sidearm and any handcannon.
-
Agreed that HC’s should always be the best IN THEIR RANGE... I never want to see them beating pulse rifles at 35+m ever again like they could before Shadowkeep. However, the range nerf was a little too harsh, and worst of all the way they capped all archetypes at the same range doesn’t allow for discrepancies between archetypes other than TTK, making 150’s the only choice. Anyways, AR’s (bringing them up since they operate in the same range) should never outperform HC’s in TTK, but rather have a slightly slower TTK with more forgiveness and a little more range. I really think this would allow both weapon types to co-exist and be viable while still respecting the skill gap between the two. The exception to this is 720 rpm’s, since they are the bullet hose archetype and are a bit unruly with pretty bad range. I say allow them to maintain a KD of <0.8s.

Correction, Bows are the least forgiving and hardest to use.
Correction, Bows are the least forgiving and hardest to use.
What in the world did I just read?
-
No they aren’t, they have a ton of aim assist and the arrows curve due to the amount of projectile magnetism.
-
Yah that's why they have been meta for so long right?
-
They’re not meta because they aren’t very good in close quarters but I do see them at least every other game in high comp.
-
I use bows in close quarters as my main weapon and I do just fine. You don't see them because they are hard to use properly. Hand canons on the other hand are very easy to use and still have some of the fastest TTK in the game.
-
Handcannos aren’t easy to use, I play against bows more than I play against handcannos.

Edited by Lotusfly V: 7/17/2020 5:29:47 AMSo let me get this straight. 7 of the top 50 guns used in quickplay are hand canons and 9 of the top 50 weapons used in competitive are hand canons. While 0 of the top 50 weapons used in quickplay and 0 of the top 50 weapons in competitive are bows and you somehow run into bows more often? Please explain how what you just said is not complete bull crap.

I took his post in terms of the original four primaries - though, I could definitely be wrong. He’d have to clarify.

^OG four

Agreed.

This. This Meaga guy gets it. Spot on.
