Sunsetting isn't a bold move, it's just a bad move.

Bungie, if you think sunsetting is a bold move, that allow your franchise to grow further, think again. All your communication, intention and justification are sketchy, wobbly and opaque.

  • They already did this before in 1 and that was when elemental primaries died along with the legendary that we have an exotic clone of in d2 that went from special to heavy. I was far more heartbroken when they took away fatebringer, black hammer, gjallarhorn than I will be when they dispose of what they currently have. Only reason the sunset is super bad is because of the ridiculous resource investment for masterwork. As far as armor goes I have yet to see a single item drop with comparable stats to the season pass armor aside from exotics, which may just be poor rng on my part. Dismantle returning material cost fully would go a long way in making people less salty about this and also encourage people to have multiple sets of armor to change up their build. Maybe they will add good legendaries, but in reality given there will be a new element that would require additional grinding anyway.
