That will never happen. Original fatebringer is proof they hate the idea of people having all elemental equipment without some strings attached. As much as people complain about current sunset on d2 I laugh at them because of what happened with d1. The d2 sunset is incredibly tiny and weak compared to losing black hammer/fatebringer/gjallarhorn in d1y1 given those were actually very powerful weapons that were unique and significantly game changing.

  • Bungie dosent have a safety net now so of course there gona ease up... The only way I see my ideas getting anywhere is if 40,000 players leave in the next year or so most being people that are regulars on this forum... Right now bungie will never see this post.

  • Given all we got from complaining about fatebringer was an exotic version of it added back I wouldn’t count on much. Bungie is more concerned about the balancing act between pve and pvp to make truly creative and powerful feeling weapons that are highly functional. Powerful feeling weapons translates to someone going consistently 6.0 in pvp and then it gets nerfed until it’s not worth using anymore. I’ve found that most guns on 2 haven’t felt powerful unless they just had a bug people exploited for a while. D1 has raid legendaries with both unique perks and made them feel unique and worth using depending on the situation. D2 doesn’t encourage people to change their load out because the insane grind to masterwork is borderline hopeless and weapons can mostly roll the same perks with limited exceptions, which means people just get the god roll of current meta and masterwork it to use indefinitely. I liked d1 more because I could get some unique perks that helped more with certain activities like a pulse rifle that could pierce knight shields or auto rifle that disoriented witches and broke up the meta. Pvp meta and pve meta have a significant amount of overlap and the weapons aren’t really situational anymore other than some shoot farther than others.

  • Exactly... I wish bungie was more intouch with their game.
