Its so funny when the player base can see bungie making a mistake & scream at the top of their lungs for it not to happen but they do it anyway. "We're listening"

Never gets old

  • That is likely because Bungie looks at player engagement statistics to make decisions versus what people are yelling about on the forums. If you look at player stats, Bungie saw huge player totals at the launch of Shadowkeep and then numbers slowly dwindled. Each new seasons denotes a slight uptick, but then the numbers continue to fall. They will likely be watching Season of the Arrivals to see if limited content (soon to be vaulted) causes a rise in player numbers. Beyond Light will likely see a big increase in players, and I'm sure Bungie is hoping that it will be higher than Shadowkeep. Bungie then hopes that sunsetting and a rotating pool of weapons keeps the numbers from falling as far as they did this year over the course of next year. If those two things don't happen, ie Beyond Light brings in less players than Shadowkeep, and the player exodus over the course of the seasons is even more rapid than this year, then Bungie will look for feedback to improve Witch Queen. They are going to gather that data though. It doesn't matter how often people say they hate sunsetting, until the numbers show there is a problem, nothing will change.
