I see zero wrong with it, as long as they adjust the rate at which we get materials and loot in general. If you're requiring us to regains, then make the grins atleast enjoyable. Being back enhanced loot grinds. When I do a public event, I wanna see exotics again, purples raining from chests. Make it so that even with 2 hours available to yourself, you can still farm 30 or 40 drops, and get a handful of endgame materials while doing it.

  • One big plus for sunsetting for me is people will use a wider range of weapons. They will actually go test that morning comes as opposed to instantly dismantling it because you're "good on snipers" Ita a loot game, and we need valuable loot to grind incrementally rather than getting to keep something for 2 years and seeing no change in your load out. Whats the point in them trying to make fun ways to play the game if youre just gonna stand inside a well with WOL on sending GLs at it. I really dont believe this is a bad thing. It sounds bad to alot of people but this is essentially the way the game was intended to be. Make cool stuff, let us play with it then make new stuff that takes over the old. I've done it many times in the past, over a dozen games. You spend months farming dungeons for a set, only for them to bring out a new critical strike set. And it sucks because your crit rate was better with old set and stats, but the armor on the old stuff is so low that you csnt use it viably on end game stuff or new stuff. I could still use it on older stuff, but new stuff, nope. So for many of us, this is actually how we were raised on loot games. I get a lot of bungie shill hate, but this change makes me happy. Theory crafting will be in full effect.

  • Not really. I will still dismantle that morning comes because it is a trash sniper. If anything, this will severely limit the amount of weapons you see being used as there will only be 1 viable weapon of each type

  • How does invalidating most gear lead for a more diverse pool to choose from? Your argument that itll lead to a wider array of loadouts is wrong. Not only do less options equal less loadouts but meta will still be meta regardless.
