Edit: Not really hurt about there not being a new race, I know it wouldn't make sense because the Pyramids are sentient. There is no Traveler race so there is no Pyramid race.
I know this isn't a lore discussion but I still think that there is a 5th race in the Pyramids. Mainly because: 1. They have interiors with doors, hallways and staircases the same size as those of humans. 2. There were those darkness-like creatures that the Drifter encountered on that ice planet. 3. Cayde's journal has a sketch of a shadowy/wispy creature. Also he felt "tendrils"? or something covering him during the collapse. 4. There was also the creature that broke into Niobe Labs that kinda sounded like metallic screeching. 5. Early concept art of a wispy 5th race and the Pyramids. 6. They use the pronoun "We" a lot, implying multiple individuals (although it could be referring to the Pyramids collectively, or it could be the Winnower using the royal 'We'). 7.
I can't remember exactly who says it but I think it's Sloane. In the evacuation quest, she says she wants to stay on Titan and face whatever comes out of the Pyramid, meaning it must be inhabited.
So we may not see them until Lightfall but I do still think that there is another alien race in the Pyramids.

The interiors are there to accommodate whoever is worthy enough to join them. 2. Those darkness creatures are as much a Darkness race as the worm gods are. 3. Those were probably formless nightmares he saw and the tendrils were the presence of the Pyramids, which Ghost described as reaching into him. 4. That could have been anything. 5. There are tons of things from concept art that never made it into the game. Also, those wispy things could be nightmare energy as they are taking a form. 6. They are most definitely speaking collectively as one. 7. That doesn't mean it's inhabited at all. That is Sloan not understanding what the Pyramids are and assuming they are ships carrying an army, like any Titan would think. She could also be expecting nightmares to come out like the Moon Pyramids.

 • Good points, but just to elaborate on what the Drifter and Cayde saw, nightmares are physical manifestations of psychological trauma. PHYSICAL, as in they most definitely have a form. The sketch in Cayde's journal looks pretty much formless, so it's something else and not a nightmare. As for the creatures that the Drifter encountered, they could drain light and kill ghosts just by being near them. Something neither the Hive or Worm Gods are do - particularly Xol, who we literally fought face-to-face but our ghost was perfectly fine.
