Sunsetting isn't a bold move, it's just a bad move.

Bungie, if you think sunsetting is a bold move, that allow your franchise to grow further, think again. All your communication, intention and justification are sketchy, wobbly and opaque.

Before it was even explained further, I knew it was a bad idea. Deep down, its just poor design. In D1, sunsetting was the problem, but infusion was introduced as the solution. Now, in D2, sunsetting is all of a sudden a solution? Again, poor design. Sunsetting armor is an even dumber decision as it has nothing to do with power creep, but simply making the legendary pinnacle weapons, with exotic perks already, into exotics would've solved so many issues without getting rid of 2-3 years of gear. Every bit of reasoning or explanation for sunsetting, thus far, has been flimsy, at best. And there have been dozens of better solutions that don't rely upon getting rid of guns like Gnawing Hunger and Bite of the Fox, only to reissues guns like Gnawing Hunger and Bite of the Fox.
