Sorry, but I disagree. I think they will absolutely make adjustments based on the feedback, or based on what they already knew and failed to convey to the players. The system, as presented, makes no sense. There are too many flaws, and it is too important a part of the game to be left as is. My prediction? There will be adjustments to armor, either in the fact that old gear will be able to be used to upgrade(thus saving some of the cost), or they will allow us to get our materials back. Weapons? I think at the very least the have to allow old versions re-issued items to get the new power cap. Neither of which is the best solution, but both feel like quintessential Bungie "solutions".

I agree there will be adjustments, but not adjustments that will really benifit us. What I've noticed as others have is that this company likes to control just about every aspect of how we play. It's the norm with games but this company has taken it too far limiting most options from having no skill tree to mods that ruined the games experience, and they've gone too far with the cost with things like master working items, etc. Those things in my opinion ruined the experience playing this game, removing what incentive the game had after Forsaken. It was this company making all the unnecessary changes that only was a benifit for the company.

I used to keep all three characters up to date, doing quest lines multiple times, farming gear, playing different sub classes. But the more they micro-managed the game, the less efficient, and fun that became. The odd thing about Destiny, is that their "vision" is always at odds with what actually makes a game like this fun. From day 1 of D2, I constantly wondered why so much of the game was wasted space. Why all of the direct loot incentive was removed from things like strikes and in game activities. It constantly feels as if they are trying to get me to stop playing lol.

I don't even need to add anything to what you said because that is where the game is now. I used to run all 3 as well. Then it went to 1, and now I've been taking a break. There is no point to play at this point knowing when the expansion comes out it will be the 5th time we are re-leveling up. So, I'm going to wait for a while after it's released to see how things play out.

They are selling their game. They want their game to succeed. Not a lot of people see this. In fact only a few really know this. Sunsetting is not about guns and gear. It's about the future of the game. And when we say anything that involves the future, in a business setting, it means Money. That's what this is all about. All the reasons they say about sunsetting are superficial reasons. Guns, gear, they are not the end goal. The end goal of sunsetting is to keep everyone in the program and to stick to the program in the next 3 years. That is the plan! Why do you think they announced their plan for the next 3 years? They want everyone to stick to it. And sunsetting will do that. It will bring the money in for the next 3 years. That's what this is all about. I don't know about you but I don't like that plan at all. I already quit 2 weeks ago because I know exactly what this is all about. I like the game, mostly end game content only, I like it still. But I don't believe in the way they are executing this business model. This sunsetting is their business model. It's not just about guns. It's about the money for the next 3 years. And I don't like how they implemented that. I'm out. And I'm out still. Like I said, i quit the game. I'm not looking back. They can do whatever they want now. I'm not dropping a cent for this game. Trust me, I know 😎 It's why some of the first game is coming back. They are trying to use carrots but things like VOG are going to be -blam!-ed up big time. I already know VoG will not work for this game as it does the first one. In fact, it doesn't belong here. The reason it will be -blam!-ed up is because how their leveling system is set up, random rolls that don't improve the stats that are actually rigged like the mods in this game, we won't have full raid weapons and the weapons will be nerfed before it's released to match their watered-down mechanics, they will most like put the stupid champions in there, the mods system will -blam!- up the experience, they will look for ways to limit what weapons will work in the raid, and with how duplicates are a huge problem in this game it will piss people off. VoG will not have the replayability as it does in the first game. Sure, this company will make money off of the older content, but they will have -blam!-ed up the entire experience of what it actually offered having it brought over to this way over-controlled game.
