Sun setting will prevent the game from getting stale
😂
-
Bit late for that dont you think?
-
That's gonna take a range of years, or never. Seeing that a majority of people say nay to it.
-
You really need to form some kind of life away from trolling, talking this much shit everyday can't be healthy. You might actually start believing it yourself.
Sun setting will prevent the game from getting stale
Good content will prevent the game getting stale. Sunsetting doesn't make it less stale.
-
Exactly

Sun setting will prevent the game from getting stale
Good content will prevent the game getting stale. Sunsetting doesn't make it less stale.
Content ends. What then?

How about this beautiful concept of PLAYING OTHER GAMES.
How about this beautiful concept of PLAYING OTHER GAMES.
Thanks captain obvious.

There’s a thing called replayable content genius :)
There’s a thing called replayable content genius :)
So we go back to square one?

OK, can you explain how grinding for the exact same weapon you're already using, with the exact same roll and the exact same percs does NOT make it stale AF? I grinded Reckoning for almost 3 weeks to get a decent roll on my Night Watch. Then I powered it to almost max (it's 1055 right now) which took loads of effort, and master-worked it. Now Bungie tells me I must either disassemble it (for 7 measly cores), or infuse the power level I spent time grinding for into a NEW Night-watch. Once I've decided how to cannibalize my best Scout, I then have to waste precious Enhancement Cores master-working the exact same weapon yet again. All for a 200 boost in power level that I'll need to complete any meaningful content in the future. That is the very definition of stale. It's also the definition of sadistic. Sorry mate but Bungie is forcing people re-acquire and regrind weapons that already exist in our inventory. That's not refreshing, it's taking the pi$$. #justsaying
-
You are right. The already did this when they sunset Original Destiny. d2 has us grind and repurchase what we already had in Original Destiny.
-
Sorry I don't follow the news that closely. Are you saying sunsetting won't actually stop those weapons from dropping? I thought they were being removed from the loot pool to be replaced by new weapons to grind for. You are saying they will still drop but at the new power level?
-
Edited by MannixRockford: 7/8/2020 12:13:25 PMI'm not sure if or when these guns disappear from the loot pool completely, but as of now certain guns are dropping with higher power caps. It's happened to me a bunch of times already. First time I noticed I all but lost my mind, because it was a Night Watch Scout, which I love using in PVE. Mine capped at 1060, & the new Umbral engram sourced Night Watch caps at 1360. I've wasted about 10 Umbrals so far trying to duplicate my old "version"'s God roll so far, with no joy. Also seen it with Ikelos sniper, Lonesome sidearm, some Vanguard & Gambit weapons, e.t.c... Basically, a bunch of other guns that we all currently have in our inventories. Bungie is crickets silent on this so far, which is also 100% uncool. (@Bungie WTF????) I mean really, there is absolutely NO rhyme or reason for this other than ... 1. Bungie programming laziness, or 2. the sadistic pleasure Bungie gets knowing people will now waste hours of effort & rare currency on the "new and improved" versions of identical weapons, just for the lulz. I have no issue with sun-setting guns in an evolving game universe, but to ask players to regrind for a higher power cap version of guns already in inventory is some seriously cruel, unnecessary s**t.
-
It's possible them dropping at higher caps is a bug. I will look over mine bacause I honestly haven't even been looking at that cap number much Personally 95% of the time I do casual PvP so sunsetting doesn't bother me but if the loot pool isn't 100% refreshed in September that would be disappointing
-
It already is for a lot of people.
-
will make a lot of people leave because most of us dont want to grind again for the same weapon
-
will make a lot of people leave because most of us dont want to grind again for the same weapon
Prove a point then? Don't grind the old , grind the new.
-
Or how about you quit trying to be so damn controlling? Let me use whatever the hell I want.
-
There's hardly anything new. Mostly just weapons we already have with different watermarks
-
There's hardly anything new. Mostly just weapons we already have with different watermarks
That's my point. Don't re grind the re issues and prove a point. Form a solid complaint with evidence to back it up. They should've refreshed the cap. Not re issued the gun. The new pool is small I agree. I just submitted a wall of text about concerns of sun setting. Ignore the re issues. When they wonder why there's complaints about a lack of loot. They can only blame themselves no? I outlined the lack of current new guns in a long post I recently made.

So just use only the pyramid weapons from darkness engrams and the weapons from the dungeon??
-
So just use only the pyramid weapons from darkness engrams and the weapons from the dungeon??
Anything that isn't a re issue for sure. Give the Ikelos a pass on 1 point alone. Random rolls. But yeah pyramid weapons and armor. When Bungie wonder why the complaints are rocketing about loot point them in the right direction.
