The only way this works is if masterworking cost less OR if we dismantle current masterworked armour we get back all materials. Clearly this won’t happen. Armour 2 is very good in principle but in a year I’ve masterworked no more than 8 armour pieces as cost are high. We also need resources, 25 cores to masterwork weapons. So we have to thick hard about what to do with resources.

Who is to say they don't change the whole masterworking process with it having a shelf life, no one knows anything yet

  • For us to take that seriously, we need a response from bungie. Until then the fact is that sunsetting is happening and current masterwork price is the current price. Nothing has been said yet? Then the current standing cost is still the current cost? Speculation has never served well with Destiny and I can't believe I still see the speculation arguments after the beta for D1 dropped. "Keeping your hopes up" with speculation is the same thing as insanity since its been happening since the beginning and never come to fruition. Yes I agree there is a chance that things may change. But im going to be honest with you, it probably won't happen unless we complain at bungo until our voices are hoarse and dry from complaining.
