UK player here and still being matched with Russians, Nordic, Eastern European’s & Asian players.
I certainly ain’t seeing better connections, especially with European players. The lag from the Mediterranean and German players is the worst of the lot.
I’ve yet to see a German player who doesn’t lag their ass off. Unreal.
I’ve full fibre to the house, hard wired to the router.

I hear you bud, I'm in the UK too. French and Germans are terrible to play against due to the connection l
-
It’s lag central against those mate.
-
Over here in the US of A I can tell you that it's the same for us. Lots of Japanese players.

CBMM and still being paired with people on a different continent. Unreal mate. It’s utter shit.

Same here

Same here FS. I'm on PS4 and use T-Link connection. Speed tests show I average 112 meg on laptop, but only 35-40 meg on PS4, yet it's on the same system. I've tried to research why on the internet, but cannot find a valid reason. Most of my clan are in the USA, and even if we fly in together, say, in a strike, my team mates are way in front of me when I finally spawn in. So what effect is this having in crucible?
-
Yeah I’ve noticed that as well.

West coast Canada here and I sometimes get matched with people from UK and Western Europe. Feels bad in those games. I assume that’s due to the trans Atlantic communication cable running between us. Straight line with no hubs so it thinks it’s a decent connection. Still the lag is usually better than connecting to half the US and far better than Mexico and I’m on finer and wired. Not to mention Puerto Rico, when I get matched with people from there, unplayable due to the lag.
-
Yeah it’s not the best mate.

Hmm... I’m Finnish and mostly matched Nordic and Russian players (as i should), and only had a handfull of laggy games so far, with SBMM the connection was bad nearly every game. I’m also on fibre. Agree with the lag from Mediterranean countries though, almost every Italian i’ve ever matched is laggy, and so is a very large portion of the rest of them, however i dont match them nearly as often anymore which is great. Germany and the UK are both hit and miss for me, connection can be good to players from either country since i can get sub 50ms pings from here to other decent connections in said countries, but there are also a lot of players from both countries that don’t take damage properly. P2P is unreliable and inconsistent, and experience varies from player to player and from lobby to lobby, but at least in my own experience i’ve had a much better time and a lot less lag than before. With SBMM i would regularly play in multicontinent lobbies, or with the laggy Mediterranean players.

Yeah I tend to agree with you. When I match the Nordic countries I tend not to have any problems though that’s not to say I don’t have a problem with other UK players. I matched a UK player the other day and messaged him calling him out. They were teleporting all over the map and I said he was cheating. After a few messages back and forth he acknowledged his connection was very poor at best.
