Cancelled Pre-Order - I don’t trust you Bungie
After the Live Stream promoting their next 3 expansions I was hyped and immediately pre-ordered like an idiot.
Trials changes were after a major TWAB that was supposed to heavily fix things, it is worse lol.
Sunsetting Weapons - I gave Bungie the benefit of the doubt but when I saw my Gnawing Hunger as an exact reissue I lost it!
Sunsetting Gear - No reason for this at all
Solstice Armor promised to be 2.0 ready was immediately useless.
Mods and elemental affinity - Trying to find which mod goes on which piece of armor, let alone the proper affinity, is beyond frustrating.
Not a peep from Bungie on Sunsetting or Trials and every time they touch something, it gets worse. I have lost what little trust I had in Bungie and until I see major changes, not hear about them, I will not be preordering anything.

I stopped buying silver last summer after some hefty nerfs and that solstice armor debacle. Pinnacle armor with stats lower than blue armor.. wow.. I still love the game, but I can't buy the expansion. It's like saying I'm ok with getting nerfed- sunset- reissued and recycled. Exotics are next in line for sunsetting, then this forum will really explode!

Bungie if you are too damn lazy to offer new things me then don’t take away the existing items your players grind for. I will not order any more Bungie products. You cannot trust Bungie.

You shouldn't preorder anything to begin with unless you know what exactly the final product is. Games can change over night and the final product could end up having a fourth of the content that the developer promised would be available. In short, preordering games is a dumb idea, stop doing it

I purchased Shadowkeep deluxe edition over the standard edition because of the 4 season pass in December 2019, each season has been a big letdown. Seasonal Content just repeats and repeats the same thing from the previous season, the same bounties over and over in order to progress in place of actual content. The season of arrival has the contact public event that not enough people participate in and the interference quest that took all of 10 minutes and that's it, if I go to do it again it says I need to complete a means to an end quest that I've already done, so I think it's bugged or not who knows, oh and the dungeon, but there is no matchmaking. I would not pre-purchase the next Destiny content until I actually see what it is. Tones of content are being removed okay fine, but what's being kept I think I will need to purchase the Forsaken DLC in order to play it and that is not going to happen. I started with Destiny 1 and was not happy with much of the additional DLC aside from, "The Taken King" and from what I have witnessed the creators at Bungie did the same thing with Destiny 2, but with seasons. This is a good game, but the new compelling story content is almost nonexistent. One more thing, please at the end of Public events can the end commentary be varied, just a little. 1 ReplyThey need a publisher, whether it's Activision or not, Bungie have proven they cannot self-publish. They just don't have the manpower. They have gone from being a studio that cared about gamers and their community, to working with other studios and publishers, saw what monetisation can do for their pockets, got greedy and parted ways with the other guys but took the greedy tactics with them and now they can't manage it on their own.

I love Aztecross but his video on Sunsetting was stupid. The reason they want to retire old weapons is power creep. Pinnacle Weapons were great! Legendary Exotics...except they are like 2 years old now and still BiS. Why? Because in order for us, the players, to retire them, Bungie would have to create something better ergo feeding into Power Creep. Why do you think we always roll for the same perks on weapons? Why all “God Rolls” are essentially the same? Because damage and reload for essentially free makes all other perks needless. Is that healthy? No. You can see evidence of this in all Season of Arrival loot which has strongly shifted from the Outlaw/Rapid Hit/Feeding Frenzy and Rampage/Swashbuckler era. So how can Bungie fix this problem? First, sunset, then release new and revamped perks. Can they deliver? Now that I am skeptical for.

Come to think of it, over half of your list of complaints are things that you knew full well before the Beyond Light reveal, meaning you pre-ordered even though you knew about Bungie's direction for the future. I'm starting to have less sympathy for you.

I've loved this game since a friend let me play on their account like 6yrs ago. Pouring hours daily into it. But the fun is pretty much gone. They're seriously rolling back on the whole "respecting the player's time" thing. And PvP, it's just not something they can do well. Platform and networking, whatever, it doesn't work for PvP. First time I'm not bothering to pick up the next expansion until it's been put a while and critiqued. I've not fully trusted them since the whole XP throttling fiasco.

I also refunded my Beyond light. I won’t be buying anything from bungie If they have me chasing weapons that are already in my vault with a new seasons emblem. Sunset things fine. Make us chase duplicate weapons out of pure laziness? not an Effin chance guys.

Just do the same thing i do dont preorder when you get the first chance just preorder 1 or 2 days before the content drops if you want that sweet sweet loot that way you can make a decision thats not going to be a mistake bungie is only going to release more hype stuff as the season goes on so we can see if its worth it or not

I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who still preorders anything that Bungo puts out then regrets the decision. Bungo being a big bag of dicks isn't something new. These same players get "hyped" for a fancy video reveal and then rush to preorder. Only to later come to the forums saying, "OMG! I can't believe Bungo got me again!" If you are still preordering and then still being surprised that Bungo sucks, then that's on you.

Each season I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to actually log on and play. Everything just feels like it drags on with mundane tasks and drip-fed content.
