The only argument I see against this is okay you like your Seasons of Arrival set, you masterwork it, bam done, you have a year as of now to get those materials back, which quite frankly if given the patience, takes a week to do. This is not including that you like the new set of armor that comes out in a later season and want to masterwork that (with transmog I guess this incentive will change... my thoughts as I type) The transition will be rough but I see sunsetting as a healthy change to the game. Now my only problem as of right now is the reissuing of weapons with absolutely no new perk pools. Like I have a bite of the fox I used for close to a year before Revoker but why do I have to get that roll again. That is my biggest frustration

  • A week is a long time for literally anyone with adult responsibilities...you should try it sometime.

  • Fantastic and clever response, if you went to the replies I actually answered kindly to someone who asked how much I played. I don’t play that much that excels my power, it’s just not hard to get materials in the game if you really try. A week isn’t impossible to get enough mats if you play Legend or Master Nightfalls. Sure a week is a little hard but again, not impossible. It comes down to the players ambition to do that activity which I really haven’t done in a while cause that grind gets tedious. I’m an essential worker and manager/owner in 2 food establishments during this time so I would like to say my responsibilities are rather “adult like”, I could work upwards to 5-6 full days a week depending on schedule. I mostly play at night like around this time eastern. Even now I’ve just done some weekly bounties, catalysts, and last wish chest. Nothing productive but if I tried or wanted to, I could’ve been doing 2-3 hours of nightfalls getting easy mats. And I’m not even Max power So will you A) not reply B) reply with a snarky remark disregarding everything I wrote C) reply with a reasonable response, maybe pose a question, basically anything but toxic Good Day

  • Not trying to say this rudely but how much time are you playing? It takes well over 100 enhancement cores to masterworks. I play a lot and don’t get that in a week. The other materials are easy though. And for me it’s not the armor set, it’s the stats. It has taken me this long to get two sets for one character almost how I want them, possibly as close to perfect as rng will allow. And that’s just one character. One set on another character pretty close to how I want but not even masterworked. Some people like fine tune their gear extensively. The gear has never been a boring part of the game to me. However grinding new gear can be very boring. It’s just differences in opinion I know.

  • 2 runs of the Pit of Heresy takes under an hour, break down the 2 pinnacles (do it on 2 characters so 2 pinnacles) and have the mats to masterwork 1 piece of armour. Plus knock off weapon bounties in PoH and have more cores than needed. Plus Nightfalls with people for materials while doing bounties. One never runs out of materials to masterwork. If I wasn’t lazy, in 1 day I could get enough materials to masterwork the armour for all 3 characters. But I am so only half done on them all. It isn’t hard to masterwork everything and there really isn’t a point to doing it anyways unless you’re trying Grandmaster challenges and are going for crazy builds that need 10 points for mods.

  • And to kinda speak more directly towards your point. Cores are definitely annoying to obtain I always have to do some finest matterweave. I do understand the stats I’ve gotten all my friends in on how to make builds, important aspects, but if you look at this season passes late rank gear, I realized the stats are identical to Season of Dawn I believe, which I first found useless but now see that I can start to masterwork those over the course of the seasons to come since my dawn gear has limited time available.

  • Won’t take that question personally, I work 5-6 days a week all day but I probably play 3 hours a night roughly but 1-2 hours of it has to be just screwing around with my friends in crucible lol. If you are of the power to do nightfalls (even legend, im not even max yet my max is 1066 I think), then it really isn’t much of a drag to get everything up to max. Maybe a week is a bit exaggeration to the average player but for someone Max power or of a power good enough to farm master (and even legend mind you) while spending a few nights a week in the nightfalls would easily hit the cap in the mats. I personally gotta start making time to do some ordeals but my friends will be 6 stacking with rat king in Iron Banner lol So in conclusion, when you take a step back, it isn’t that hard to get your mats back up it’s a matter of the patience and dedication cause I know including myself that it can get boring farming the same strike over and over.

  • 100 cores?? I'm fairly sure it costs like 10 or something for one piece.

To fully masterwork one weapon yes. To fully masterwork a full set of armour including an exotic you need 850 enhancement cores. 2825 planetary materials and 1.2mil glimmer.

  • That's only if you buy everything... Just bringing that up makes your argument void instantly
