This post highlights exactly why most casual players wanted to keep SBMM. They thought they were improving, but instead they were getting matched with worse players. I am by no means good at crucible, but I'm absolutely enjoying CBMM much more. I see posts of people complaining they get mercied every match, but the only time I ever get mercied is when I have 3+ players with a 0.6 KA/D max, I suspect these are the players who thought they were getting good at crucible in SBMM.

 • Yep, that's what I've learned from all the replies to this post. I am a player who only thought they were getting good. I mean, I did make some improvement; I used to be absolute trash, but managed to work my way up to being recycling at least. lol Can I ask what it is about CBMM you're enjoying more?

 • Let me preface by saying I'm absolutely average at crucible, nothing more, so I'm not going out pub stomping anyone. When it was SBMM, each individual game was balanced, but it was always a close game, meaning in order to win, you would have to use meta loadouts and cheese strategies to win. I would constantly go up against teams using pulse rifles sitting in the back of the map, or people crouching with shotguns, or just playing in ways that are just not fun. They played like this because they wanted to win. With CBMM, the success of the match is based much less on your individual contribution, meaning you have the flexibility to use more diverse loadouts. I've actually been able to use different loadouts just for fun. Sometimes I'll get mercied (which RARELY happened before), but sometimes I can clutch a match to get the win. I love the diversity in each game versus having each game seem like the same even match where you have to be a tryhard in order to have any chance of winning.
