People with bad connections have 2 chances to fix their connection, if they just ignore the restrictions then it’s their fault for getting banned not Bungie’s. Removing the perma ban and just asking people to fix their connection will not happen as more then likely people will not listen.

I know your point, all of you don't have this problem and it's only a small part of the community that it's becoming upset for this politics. But just think, this game it's not expensive enough to make another way to not restrict them forever? Only the case when your ban it's not fair, my friend was banned when he wake up and I was playing with him and I didn't see him lagging, his voice was clear and his bullets was going through. I'm just talking about those persons, not about people who are extremely laggy. I'm just saying that bungie has to respond and help people who think they restrict was in fair, and here becomes my point, if bungie doesn't respond or care about those people, why they need permanent ban?

  • People can get banned in other ways not just having bad connection. Bungie has made a way for people to try and reverse the ban by sending in a forum but, as far as I know, no one has been unbanned because of that system. Bungie has had this policy of banning people since D1, for connection problems, Bungie gives 2 warning/restrictions, first is 2 weeks then 2 months, so the player can sort out their connection. If they don’t it’s a permanent ban. For cheating Bungie just bans them, no warning just a ban.

  • The ban policy for cheaters, toxicity or others are good (if they really detect that), I'm not complaining about that, I'm just saying if you are gonna have a long time bans and permanent bans for having "bad connection", just take a time to talk with them and have an opportunity to verify if it was fair or unfair that ban. They don't even answer when you send a ticket in their website. And I think this problems start with the servers because you look in that forum and you see hundreds of people having problems and connection errors, and you see people asking for a removal of his restriction because they wasn't laggy or getting booted of the matches, just playing the game. I have watched in first perspective a person having a restriction for bad connection, and he was perfectly, not even a lag in his movement. So I believe in this people when I see them in the forum because I know it's true and bungie doesn't care about them.

  • Wow so it's their fault they get ahold of the ISP and are eventually told it's fixed just to find out it isn't? Seems fair ...

  • Bungie expects people to have good internet connections, it’s not their fault if players don’t.

  • Every multiplayer game expects players to have good connections. Not the players fault the ISP tells them nothing is wrong even if something is wrong and the player just wants to enjoy videogames. You and Bungie need to stop having such closed minds.

So you are ok with players teleporting around the map killing you out of no where, ruining the PvP experience for other players?

  • So the fault is on the ISP but then it's all the other players who should suffer the consequences of an ISP's incompetence? Because that's why you get restricted for bad connection; you ruin other people's experience with the game. Have you ever played against someone who seems unkillable, teleports around the maps, appears and disappears constantly? That's people with bad connection playing D2 for you.

  • I see people with worse connections in every match that never seem to get banned. Also like I said it happens in every game that has online PvP. Yea sure once in awhile it can ruin a match but people shouldn't get punished because the ISP is incompetent and they're trying to just relax and enjoy a god damn videogame. Wow you take videogames seriously if you think people should be banned for something within their power to control.

  • I'm not the one getting worked up about getting banned in PvP...

  • I haven't been banned for it. I am defending the people who have been. The fact you feel people should be banned for something they have zero control over is funny as hell.

  • They have quite a lot of control over their internet connection, that’s why Bungie posted ways to improve your connection. I don’t see why you feel that you need to defend them considering that they have 2 chances to fix their connection and that they ruin the PvP experience for literally everyone else that plays with and against them.

  • Yes but if the rout your connection takes to connect to Bungie's servers (which do exist, you must be connected to them to play and pick characters) is bad and your ISP does not look into it because they just do a generalized speed test on Speedtest.net that is something they have zero control over.

  • What you are describing is a small portion of restrictions. A lot of them who take the time to answer have connections that are below the games requirements that is on them.

  • Yes Bungie does have servers but only for PvE, PvP is peer to peer and that solely relies on good connection from every player. If the connection problems where on Bungie’s side then everyone would be having problems connecting to their servers.
