Be Heard - Black Lives Matter
Today is June 19th, a day of growing importance in the United States. It is recognized here as Juneteenth, or Freedom Day. On this date, in 1865, slaves in Texas celebrated as they were told for the first time that they were free, and slavery was no longer permitted. We at Bungie would like to take this opportunity to celebrate Juneteenth with you, no matter where you are around the world.
During an event earlier this month, we spent 8 minutes and 46 seconds in silence to honor the death of George Floyd, and promised that we would commit more time, energy, and money towards the fight against systemic racism. We invite you to join us in that battle by showing your support and making your voices heard.

4 RepliesDoes this mean we can loot the gear and silver for free? Also spray paint the tower, scream at other guardians, block roads, and burn stuff? That is how BLM tries to 'be heard' in my city anyway. Sorry, just trying to make light of this bad topic. But in my home we do think everyone is equal. Because of this I uninstalled the game like everyone else. Good luck with your movement and I hated this happened. I did like this game.

Yes... the exact people you support shot a young girl this weekend. Cops removed a barricade wall blocking a road from BLM protesters. A black family shortly drove down the road only to meet BLM protesters who shot at the car trying to disable the car killing a 8 year old black girl. Does her life matter? What about the 70 year old retire police captain who was black who got killed during all those so called peaceful BLM protesting trying to protect a friends business and someone instead of calling for help, stood there just recording it. He was black but not a peep from the media, BLM or any of these businesses supporting BLM. George Floyd didnt deserve to die like that but he wasn’t a innocent person either. He resisted arrest that day, he had a record a mile long and that day he was arrested for using counterfeit money which is a federal offense. Again he didn’t deserve to die but My gosh he was no saint and does not deserve in my opinion the amount of attention he got. BLM is a activist group who’s only agenda is a power grab by any means , and companies like you Bungie support it.

The idea that you need a mother and a father to raise a good child is one of the things they want to destroy? So, um how is that supposed to help my people again?

I think we all know what those things are. This is the reason political discussions are no longer allowed on the site. People just can't seem to handle them in a respectable way. I have been out protesting. We protest unnecessary killings of black people. Yes ALM but why is it that people ONLY say that when we say BLM? Why do you want to negate the fact that we matter so bad, why does it bother you so bad? In my state a man was shot running away. My family is actually from the city where this happened in Atlanta. I have many family members on the police force here. Gwenett county Decab county Kennasaw. Everyone knows when you run from the police they are suppose to chase you. Police officers are held to a higher standard. Just like the managers at subway, or your teachers at your school. If a student slaps a principal can the principal have a fight with that student without getting fired? If a students parent cusses you out can you cuss that students parents out. If a 80 year old women slaps you are you going to beat her up. Obviously those are wild example but you can see my point. Yes, the man in Atlanta did things he shouldn't have done, but should he be dead or in prison. Should his 3 daughters be left without there father, or should he be alive facing the consequences for his behavior in a courtroom just like every american no matter the color has the right to. Weather you support or don't support is up to you, but I ask you to think before you post. Just know when people say BLM it's for the quote not for the organization. Just thought I would post this here to. Keep your political affiliation out of the discussions, keep your statistics out of the discussion, keep your hate group talk out of the discussions, keep your insults to one another out of the discussions, keep your political/religious/statistical "links" out of the discussion. 9 RepliesThe amount of toxicity on this post is disgusting. Also, it's mind boggling how something like wanting equality is somehow tied into politics/religion. The same exact thing happened when the Pride Pin came out. "Where's my heterosexual pin?" "Where's my heterosexual month?" "Why do they get special treatment?" Now we have: "Where's my White Lives Matter Pin?" "Where's my Blue Lives Matter Pin?" "Where's the All Lives Matter Pin?" Yes. All lives matter. No matter if you're Black, White, Native American, Asian, bi, straight, gay, lesbian, etc...you all matter. However, the phrase or idea of saying "all lives matter" is a gigantic hypocritical thing when people of color and people of the LGBTQI+ have been dealing with so much shit. For god sakes, it's 2020 and we are still talking about racism towards people of color and prejudice towards the LGBTQI+ community. There people are not trying to start a war, they just want equality. They want to have the same opportunities as everyone else. Why is that so hard to ask for?
