Hecate was walking along the cliffs when she spotted Skye. Hecate being Hecate, she climbed down and slowly made her way along the side of the cliff until she got behind Errol. When she climbed back up, she fires a tranquilizer dart from her pistol into his leg hopefully*
How long does the effect of the tranquilizer last?
The dart successfully plants itself into Errol’s left upper leg. He jumps in surprise and bends to pull it out. His face twists with rage as he again aims his pistol at Skye, but the tranquilizer already took effect, and he sunk to the ground in asleep. His Atoms then rolled off of Skye, leaving her dumbstruck. She takes a deep breath at being freed from their hold, and looks around for who could have shot the dart.
-
about 20 mins. I have an elephant tranquilizer, but I decided it probably would stop his heart.
Hecate looses her grip on the cliff for a moment, but grabs onto an edge. For a moment, she fiddles with a device at her belt, trying to activate it* After a couple moments of smacking it, it activates and she rises over the cliff side onto the ground* “Come on Hecate cool entrance, cool entrance...”, she thinks*
Hecate’s appearance is the Exo Stranger, with purple eyes and a purple cloak, hiding long black hair coming from her head, and her arms and legs are melds of flesh and metal.
-
Ah, so it wouldn’t be that long, then?
At the sight of the unfamiliar Exo, Skye stares briefly in surprise, then tries to stand. After a moment’s struggle she pushes herself to her feet with a hand over her side painfully. She looks back up to Hecate. “I... thank you.”
-
“You are welcome. Need a place to toss him in? I have a spot.”
-
Ah okay. Wait, you didn’t kill him did you?
Skye glances between the Atoms and Errol, before setting her eyes on the pieces of her bow. “I... I don’t...” She fails to find words to say as she limps towards her weapon and falls on her knees before it. With one hand she picks up a piece that would have been part of the outer plating of the limb of the bow, and with the other she wipes away the dampness in her eyes.
-
Nope. Just knocked him out for 20 mins.
“Sorry about your bow.”
-
Oh okay okay. :P
Skye shakes her head. “It’s... it’s fine, I’ll...” she sighs. “I don’t think I’ve met you before. Who are you?”
-
“I am Hecate.”
-
“I’m Skye. And I don’t know what to do with Errol, er... him.” She points at her brother. “Nothing went as I hoped it would.”
-
“Indeed. Do you mind if I take those? Or should they stay with him?”, Hecate points to the Atoms*
-
Skye reaches and picks up one of the beads off the ground. She examines it, then gives Hecate a skeptical glance. “Why would you want them?”
-
“Research.”
-
“Research. I’d prefer to know how to combat them then not to.”
-
“They are controlled by specific movements and signals in Errol’s hands, and those signals are sent to the Atoms via the discs on his gloves. They apparently have a weakness to electricity, and are stunned for a little while when in contact with a relatively high voltage. But... I’m not comfortable letting anyone take them. They’ve... hurt innocent people, and I don’t want anyone else being tempted to use them the way... the way Errol was.”
-
“I am an AI. I cannot be tempted.” Hecate smiles for a moment*
-
Skye raises a brow curiously. It was then she seemed to realize what Hecate was. She holds the Atom in her hand between her pointer finger and thumb, as though in contemplation. Then she tosses it to Hecate.
-
“Thank you.” The Atom is swallowed into Hecate’s mass*
-
Apologies for the late reply! Real life really does like to throw unexpected things at you.
Skye watched with amazement. She opened her mouth to speak, but a groan cut her off. Errol had begun to stir awake, and while he seems very groggy, he pushes himself to his knees. He cranes his neck to look Hecate’s and Skye’s direction. “I won’t let you win that easily,” he manages to say.
-
“Oh. Guess I have to do a little more then.” Hecate walks over, and claps on his temples slightly hard*
-
Before Hecate’s hand could make contact, Errol bends to dodge and make a move to punch her in the stomach.
-
(19 out of 20 holy shizz) Errol’s fist connects with one of Hecate’s metal parts, and bounces off. She then goes in to grab him by the neck, and slam him into the ground*
-
Ah, we using a dice for this one? This’ll be the first time for me in this setting 😅 Was the 19 for Errol’s attack or for Hecate’s?
-
(It was for Hecate’s defense.)
-
Gotcha.
Errol hits the ground with a grunt. He spits out a mouthful of dirt, then attempts to push himself back up and grab at Hecate’s leg to pull her down with him. (17)
-
(16) Hecate is pulled down, and she goes to punch him in the side of the head*
