Your absolutely right. Blues are worthless [i]very[/i] early on in leveling up your character.
Ill go further though, Legendary gear is mostly worthless too after a point. Unless you luck out getting a build you personally like, or one of the 20 guns you don’t hate, Legendaries are worthless too.
We need a loot revolution. Ad a random shader to every major kill. Shards and upgrade mats should have a chance of dropping on ANY kill!
And buying expensive as crap engrams from Xur the useless should have a [i]chance[/i] to decript as ANY exotic you don’t have!
I am sick of grinding away for nothing.
Bungie finally added matchmaking to nightfalls, [i]but then made damn sure they wouldn’t drop ANYTHING of value for matchmade groups![/i]

Legendaries do become useless after a while but I was farming Gambit Prime at that time in hopes of getting a Gambit Prime weapon(yes I know you can farm reckoning). It's already hard enough getting the right weapon and even harder getting the right roll. I think that 1 legendary weapon or armor piece should be guaranteed as a win reward. It just doesn't make sense to me that you win and your reward is a chance at a legendary still. And BTW, Xurs exotic engram rewards you with an exotic you don't have yet. They changed it a while ago. Unless you meant reward you with any exotic you don't own regardless of the class you're on.

I mostly play on my warlock (except Iron Banner), it irritates me that i can pay 97 shards, and get some crap I already have and never use (really only a few good exotics on warlocks). While I have a fair number of exotics I don’t yet have for both titan and hunter. I’d like to have all the exotics, just to play with build ideas, but I prefer to identify with a particular character and class (actually really wish I could customize it about 100 times more than I can), rather than playing everything on all three classes. Additionally, I think it would be fair to give us a chance at ANY exotic, including raid drops and quest exotics you need a TEAM to effectively pursue. I wouldn’t mind if it was a [i]slim chance[/i], just something. The way it is now everything is such a mind numbing chore to go after. And almost everything decent is [i]team gated[/i], meaning you need a team to get it, but Bungie denies matchmaking.
