I hate to break this to you but SunSetting is low key targeting pinnacle weapons. They want weapons like Revoker, MT/ Recluse out of End game activities. Wether it’s PvP or PvE.

I think most understand that, I do least. However the question would then have to be asked, why blanket everything? They want to get rid of everything else too because we use the same stuff. The thing many are annoyed about is the fact that the majority of what we get in the future will just be reskins of things we have now anyway unless they're truly unique weapons like the ritual/pinnacle weapons, exotics or raid weapons.

The honest answer is because it’s easier than going into each weapon individually and tweaking them. You eliminate how to tweak(without neutering the uniqueness of said weapon. This way it’s all done with one swift stroke. And it serves multiple objectives. 1) Erases Pinnacles from Endgame(“PowerCreep”) 2) Freshens up the meta for a bit.
