Honestly I would love if bungie implemented universal ornaments on exotic armor because it would make a set look more cohesive if you didn't have to choose between the exotic or the ornament. Just my two cents.

I was just going to make a post about this but like other people are saying, enemies and allies need some kind of way to distinguish exotics. I wish I could use an exotic without destroying my fashion but I get that it needs to be there.
-
I have to completely disagree. It would mask the exotic they're wearing which gives them a huge tactical advantage since no one would be able to tell what exotic is being used. Not all exotics have visible effects (at least from an enemy's POV) either, which would make some even harder to detect than others.

Exotics are supposed to be immediately identifiable on sight to both enemies and allies.

I don’t agree bc it’s handy to know what exotic ppl are using. But making sets of gear look better would be a lot easier if the shaders weren’t such absolute ugly pieces of junk. All I need is a complete black shader. Is that too much to ask? We have an all white shader

Edited by Swiftlock: 5/29/2020 4:57:29 PMNot a good idea. I want to know that someone's trying to use Saint-14 without having to rummage through every Titan's inventory screens. Being able to hide that would be a tactical advantage.

If they can tune it so ones on Exotic armor don't apply in Crucible, then by all means!
-
I'm down for exotic ornaments on legendary gear.
-
No, I need to know if my opponents are using Antaeus wards, or for PvE, if my teammate is using celestial nighthawk or something. This is just a terrible idea
-
That would allow you to hide exotics you are using. Probably won't happen.

The only issue is I can see people exploiting it in trials. Like if a bubble titan had helm of saint 14 but hid it with an ornamnet to bait people into his bubble only to be blinded.
