1. Because the man in a mask wasn’t a Guardian. And even if he was he wouldn’t have any Ghosts to revive him because he was kinda imprisoned in a Cabal ship at the time of his death? Did we just all of a sudden forget that? 2. Ghosts without Guardians revive people all the time. That’s how they GET their Guardians in the first place. They have to revive them for that person to become a Guardian. Come on, man...basics.

 •
1. Because the man in a mask wasn’t a Guardian.
Neither was Shin Malphur.
And even if he was he wouldn’t have any Ghosts to revive him because he was kinda imprisoned in a Cabal ship at the time of his death?
That was during the war. After it ended all of the surviving Ghosts were free to res whoever they wanted.
Did we just all of a sudden forget that?
Never did. I'm trying to get a solid picture of what happened after and the circumstances and requirements for ressing someone.
2. Ghosts without Guardians revive people all the time. That’s how they GET their Guardians in the first place.
They aren't limited to one guardian. There's been cases where ghosts have lost a charge and gotten a new guardian. There's even been a case of a ghost ressing someone who wasn't even a guardian.
They have to revive them for that person to become a Guardian.
But does the act of ressing someone make them a guardian or is it something that has to be learned? Again, Shin Malphur didn't become a guardian until much later in his life. After Jarren Ward died, his ghost went to Shin.
Come on, man...basics.
There's too much data in the air to simply say, "Basics". I've listed only the first few that come to mind. If I had all the time in the world, I would probably have enough questions to make a multi page college level paper.
