I haven't visited a doctor's office in over 10 years but I'll gladly pay tax towards a medical care system that will help people who can't afford it. I am fully aware that not everyone is as fortunate as me being able to live the way I live while having a clean bill of health. For them, they need the help and if we don't help them nobody will(and not because they aren't willing to help, a lot of times they just can't afford to since medical is seriously expensive). Adopting the "well it's not happening to me" mentality is the worst thing to do for a country. That doesn't mean the system is perfect though, I will continue to support a health care plan for the country if it helps those who don't have the means to help themselves.
