You think the Cabal got it bad? Look at the Fallen. This huge build up in the lore for the Kell of House Kings. This mysterious Kell who had never been even seen by a Guardian, who commanded the most powerful Fallen House, who had the Devils at their beck and call. The Kell of the oldest surviving house, the house that ruled before the great whirlwind. Aaaannd.... He gets killed off. In the lore. Never mentioned again. All because Bungie was too lazy to make a seperate colour pallet for the Fallen. Why waste such a massive amount of potential? Because that's what feckless untcay of a Kotaku writer does.

  • The Kell of Kings owed Randall money and didn't pay up. That's why he's never brought up in-game.

  • Kell of kings would never have sent forces out into the field, they'd be eaten alive just because their wearing yellow However if you ask me it's the Kells scourge and tangled shore fallen that should've gotten a colour change Kells scourge should've been black or something, and the fallen in the tangled shore (who have no house and just scavenge all the time) should've been a grey or washed out white

  • We fought the House of Kings in D1. While it is unlikely that they would just be out and about in the field, they could have existed in say, a lost sector, just to continue to include them in the lore, until the time was right to get the payoff from all the lore buildup. You know, instead of just killing the Kell off in the lore. Which made no damn sense.

  • That I can definitely agree with, that's essentially how it worked in D1 as well. Finding a house of kings fallen (while not rare by any mean) did have a certain... Essence surrounding them You could throw a yellow Dreg into a list sector and the community would worship it like the next coming of Jesus

  • My ideal situation would be having a lost sector with House of Devils fallen in it, and have there be a chance that a Kings captain/barron would be down there instructing their leader, like what happens in the lore. In which case, the lost sector would become much more interesting, and significant lore wise. I don't know, if Bungie were a company that didn't needlessly waste potential, and focused on some cool world building stuff, the House Kings fallen could even drop a class item that was a tattered kings banner (think Shiro's cloak, but with Titan and Warlock equivalents).

  • Glad someone else is pissed at that.

  • Oh buddy, I will never forgive the sheer waste of plot potential that was Destiny 2. Got rid of the Houses (the most interesting sub groups, in my opinion), the Cabal legions, and the Vex sub systems, and used a blanket excuse for every single one of them. Not only that though, they also combined all the Warminds into one, retconning Charlemagne and the others (their names escape me currently) and essentially turning them into nothing, completely removing that plot element, because they were too lazy to make a seperate Warmind for Mars. Nope, just Rasputin, who was apparently always the only warmind, because surely that's cooler than every planet having their own warmind with its own personality, which can cause conflict between each of them. No, that wouldn't be an interesting storyline. Now here, throw some balls at a blocky pillar, because that's interesting.

  • I agree on ever single one of those. Pisses me off.
